We flew home to Nashville, Tennessee for the first time since June! Nate used points to book our flights from Madrid to London’s Heathrow Airport to Chicago. We had 4 flights and went to 3 airport lounges. It was a great 24 hours of travel, and we were so happy to be home!

WHO ARE KARA AND NATE?! - We decided to take a year off to travel the world in January 2016. Daily vlogging was not the original plan, but we quickly fell in love with it and now post a video of what we do every day! It's so much fun to go back and watch some old vlogs from 3-4 years ago. You both have come a long way with your vlogs and I love watching them. The skateboards were awesome to see. I especially loved seeing Nate's family come to pick you both up with the K&N Logo. Happy Memorial Day to you both. I do hope the jogging gets easier. LOL

How the hell does this guy constantly leave things behind in lounges, hotel rooms, air b&b's, taxis, restaurants, etc, etc but somehow he seems to almost always get it back, does he have any idea how lucky he is, how careless he can be and that luck ALWAYS runs out sooner or later!!!!!!!

Barney B many people have passive incomes so they can do things like travelling, even earning online while travelling which they have done too, all possible, im sure many people would want them to find a way to earn money and travel because this is a great channel....

Rob Sevilla i know people can earn online and earn money remotely.I also travel but would find traveling for even a year challenging, maybe 3/6 months Maximum then return home to regroup and replan.Sleeping in strangers beds can take a toll on you and not having reliable internet/private space can get to you after 3 months not to mention getting sick coz of strange food and pple contact

What an incredible year. Started with you on vlog 2 because of my love for Japan(been there 4x) and you and your viewers have grown so much. Can't wait for 2017. You should do a recap of your favorite moments and destinations of 2016 and Q&A. My best moment and destination for you: you seem to love those Hong Kong pork buns, love Hanoi's bahm mi, Nepal hiking, Greek and cheese, delicious Mauritius Samosas, and Sahara desert. Bad moments: Tokyo capsule (lol), that never ending bus ride from Thailand to siem reap I believe, Marrakech aggressive market, and your new canon camera lens shattering. Just so you know it, I think it is Great work that you manage to travel with one pc of carry on and one small roller bag. The 767 you flew from MAD-LHR was the last 767 BA bought from Boeing. It entred service in june of 1998, and it got taken out of service in 2017. It is now scrapped. www.rzjets.net The AA 767 LHR-ORD I can not tell you anything about. I need the tail no. When you shot the gate from ORD-BNA you could read on the bottom line: AA flight to Wausau/ Stevens Point is now at gate... That is the airport I fly into when I visit my town that I lived a year in back in 1986/87. Now you know!

Where has the time gone, it was only back in October I first came across your vlogs and followed you since and had chance to watch the rest of your old vlogs. . . Which I have enjoyed immensely. You made each vlog enjoyable and even felt I was there with you. I found Kara's big grin warmed my heart and you're beautiful warm accent's made me forget I was on my sofa. Know what might be cool? Those Raiders of the Lost Ark maps where the map with the flightpath is kind of superimposed over the plane flying (or in your case, since you're forced to shoot from the INSIDE of the plane, the view out the window. Probably a massive PITA to do, but it might be fun.

One year of traveling, oh, that's nothing. I did it for well over twenty plus. Well, I just happened to be a corporate pilot, a little different, but I was traveling. An experience I wouldn't have traded for the world. Sorry to say, yes, you came across a little stuck up, not in a new plane, no monitor, food looked, well, American Airlines style. Kara, you probably know it by now, but you should be able to find haloumi cheese in supermarket in the US, too. At least, it’s very common here in the UK’s supermarkets. Then just grill it at home and enjoy. :)

Happy new year to you both! I'm in Madrid with my family- back home to London tomorrow, using Iberia A346 with TVs and using your IB lounge. I agree Iberia is frustrating as they're actually one of my favourite airlines. The Emerald flyers get access to an a la carte restaurant which is enjoyable, especially with their wine list and those bedrooms where I've slept many times(I pass through many times a year), but I get annoyed with having to pay for food. Also at T3 LHR next you fly AA use the all new Cathay First Lounge, it's officially my favourite at Heathrow! It opened end of November. We all wait with baited breath as to where you will end up in 2017, but try and come back to London! Best wishes and thanks for producing all these blogs this year - incredible! Nacho PS I'll take the train to T4 Madrid from Recoletos like you guys did!

Was a good year watching your Vlogs. I hope you 2 have a nice rest and spend some quality time with your friends and family. I felt your pain without the PTV's on the American airlines flight too. When I flew from Gold Coast to Singapore with Scoot airlines for 8 hours, it got so dreadfully boring.

So excited for you guys to be home and have a Merry Christmas! I feel your pain about the 767! Sadly too often US carriers aren't up to the foreign carriers, in equipment (aircraft) or service (food, workers, etc). The last time I had an international flight without a TV was in 1980 on Lufthansa from Frankfurt to LA. Talk about a long flight, 11 1/2 hours with nothing to do, how did we ever survive?! 😂

Yes there are big differences in cockpits! Especially when you get to the smaller aircraft, regional planes. They are many times very cramped for the pilots and don't give much leg room. Commercial carriers also have to have at least one seat there for an observer, like the FAA to check on pilots at their discretion. This is good to ensure pilots are doing what they are supposed to do, safety for all traveling. But it's uncomfortable many times for those people because of lack of space. In the larger aircraft, there are even sleep rooms for the pilots. With the long flights, pilots are required to take breaks, so they often times get three or four hours to sleep, rest, read, whatever, away from the stress of the flight deck. Again, welcome home and Merry Christmas. Can't wait for the new vlogs!

Now that you are back, you will have travel withdraws. You'll find that people at home can't really relate to what you have experienced/learned. You'll find conversations with them a bit boring since they only want to talk about their lives. You'll have to find other people in your city who have traveled with whom you can have great conversation relating to your experience. In a few weeks time or less you will have that itch to get back on the road.

Just started watching your vlogs and I love them!! I'd like to see a vlog maybe about the airport lounges. Not what's inside them because you guys already show that every time you go to the airport but how you guys get access to them. I don't know much about airport lounges so it would be nice to learn how to get access to them whenever I travel in the future.
