We're glad you enjoyed it, @glenjohnson7928. We'll have another segment with Maestro Fresh Wes this week. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Sweet. You mentioned Michie Mee. Would be good.to.do an interview with her. Curious as to what other Canadian hip-hop acts you were exposed to, if any, around that time. As an aside, read the history of gangster rap over the summer. Good stuff.
Saw Maestro in London Ontario in 89 and then open for Public Enemy in Windsor in 1990 - used backbone in my first DJ turntablist competition routine. - Maestro even acted recently in a show called Mr. D as a princpal of school. They didn't give much love to his character on the show IMO. I honestly never heard of Maestro before 1988 - and we weren't far from Toronto .
Dang a Canadian series? You have to get Sean Merrick up here.. while Maestro was like Rakim.. Merrick was the first in Canada rap to adopt a Kool Keith vibe. '89 was a really diverse year in Canada just like in the US for hip hop.
Michee career got put on hold cause she caught a drug charge and had to do time thats what killed that whole situation. I grew up with Larry & gave DRK my SP 12 when he started making beats and know Meastro since them Roland W-30 and Swiss Chalet days.
@@UniqueAccessEnt Your Welcome dope show keep dropping more episodes . Oh to give a little context Larry was one of Meastros first dances and DRK was part of the second crew he hired to dance for him . The W30 reference was the sampling keyboard Meastro used to knock out alot later records on same joint erick sermon used for years .
