@Arthur Morgan stop using Hitler's name every time you slightly disagree with sombedy. So cringe. And it actually undemonizes his persona, making him more trivial to the point, where one day people won't look at him as at the monster he really was. And yes, imagine, sometimes good people make horrible choices. And though Tommy's actions were unjustifiable (for which he paid in the end with his own life), all he did was for things he placed higher than his own self. Game is a good cautionary tale about how some good virtues, like loyalty, can easily lead you to the very dangerous path. Especially if you're loyal to people without good morality and virtues.

@Arthur Morgan and BTW, as someone, who uses Arthur Morgans as a nickname, you should've known that, if you understood the RDR2 even in slightest. The moral of the both Arthur's and Tommy's stories are very comparable, despite huge differences in stories.

@Arthur Morgan so every murderer is Hitler now, ok, gotcha. You may be surprised, but violence can be justified. It is very dangerous path, because it often goes down to slippery slope, but in itself violence is only tool, not negative moral standard. Easy example: if you try to do something bad to my family, you bet i'll be violent, and won't even feel a thing afterwards. granted, that's an extreme example, but point stands, some violence isn't only neutral, but can be used for good. Also it's baffling, why you viewed automatically Tommy as a bad guy, and bunch of goons of an oppressive Government as good guys, just because they have badges. Which means, that you also see some violence as acceptable (especially if perpetrator was granted that ability by some dudes in Capitol). So it only comes down to morality which you apply to situation. Pacifism and absolute non-violence is unhuman and dumb. People with virtues and strong views will always clash, and sometimes violence becomes the only tool to resolve the conflict. Now don't get me wrong, i think violence is a last resort, the worst outcome for both sides and should be avoided as much as possible (not like many do in our day and age, where they think that it's appropriate to either burn down cities or attack Capitol building because of political views - which both sides do), but it is a tool nonetheless. I agree with Klausewitz and Sun Tzu about their views on violence as a tool. And both radicals - easily triggered activists or absolute pacifists, are stupid and overall destructive for society. Now all that being said and established, that violence has place in a society, for many it comes down to their subjective morality, which i personally don't agree with, as a Christian i believe in existence of objective morality and objective good and evil, determined by God, ultimate Arbiter. But despite personally not agreeing with them, i can see a humanity in people who stick to their moral codes, even if it's destructive for them and others. And that can't be said about Hitlers, Lenins and Stalins of the world. Who create their own morality, not following the one that came down to them, and then use that made up morality to justify violence. Those are psychopaths, who don't care about morality and bend it to meet their ultimate selfish goal. You can't say that about Tommy or Arthur Morgan, who often harmed themselves for something that they saw as bigger than them. Those are good people (ok, maybe i'll agree with you here and change it to "well-intentioned people" instead of "good people"), while tyrants and dictators are not (these don't care about wellness or good greater than them, they care only about their power). Why this distinction important? Because in society you can use Tommy or Arthur-like people for good (those are mainly people serving in military or police force, ultimately being ok with using violence for greater good, so-called sheepdogs, protectors), while amoral tyrants like Hitler and Stalin should be thrown out of helicopters right away, because those are wolves, that only want to destroy.

What makes this even more amazing is that Paulie is the guy that can't find that for himself and his way of life, so when he sees Tom, he recognizes that Tom is where Paulie might have been at one point of his life, and instead of talking the wrong turn, Paulie points out he will miss out on finding love just as he did if he didn't do anything with Sarah. Paulie is a true friend.

@@SuperLeshina yep he is. I played Mafia 1/DE after Mafia 2 so Paulie reminded me so much of Joe. Paulie is loyal to his friends, just like Joe.

The Titanic film is a meme lol 😆. The romance in this game is very well done. And the best part is that they don’t have Tommy slap or punch Sarah like what we seen in other gangster movies(example: how Carlo treated Connie in The Godfather).

I’ve never cried over a movie, I always find myself being more attached to video games.

Mafia 1 graphics are too old, but the game still holds its own even in 2022. In fact, in many ways it even beats Mafia 1 definitive edition. And the story in DE is just too different from the original game.

Someone above explained it well, Tommy still wasnt and never was used to the life, that night left him pretty shell shocked. Sara is used to this life and has seen some shit and knows what Tommy is going through and him simply not asking but saying marry me is him letting he know that she is the best thing he has. Which makes sense when you listen to Tommy's speech at the end about hpw family is the only truly important thing in life.

As said, I understand the reasoning and thinking behind it, yet it feels so completely stupid how they decided to make it like this
