Interested to see what you come up with for Templar this patch. I feel like it suffers a bit from Dueling syndrome at the moment. It has some excellent setups for 1v1 (Essence/Rally/Zaan or rangeplar) but feels kinda trash in open world and BGs (mostly due to not being able to kill things in this tanky meta). It often feels like fights end in a stalemate or you lack the burst to kill things outnumbered.
I'm a stam sorc main, but mag sorc is just so much better right now that I've managed a middle ground I'm quite happy with. 64 max mag, 3x swift, DDF, Rallying, Tarnished, hurricane, wield soul shock + class script + major vitality, bound aegis, hardened ward, bow front, ice staff back. 5l 1m 1h, thief mundus, khajiit. I'm torn between 2 piece Balorg vs 2 piece vat ice staff, both are great. To me, it still feels like a stam sorc, I'm just using blue instead of green. My mag pool is 37k which sounds low for a mag sorc, but hardened ward is about 10k in BG, sustain is great, feels just as fast as before. Crit chance is 52% back, 61% front, so crit healing is consistent. My favourite part is I feel tankier than my typical stam sorc build because Hardened Ward replaces Vigor without any drawbacks. Going high hp to make Hardened Ward work on stam sorc makes your resource pools low, so damage and sustain feels much harder. TLDR: stam sorc needs work. Hardened ward should scale from max stam. Bound Armaments needs a major buff/rework, Aegis is so much better and you don't need to cast it. Both give resources, but stam sorcs only need hp or damage, stam is useless right now. Aegis gives minor resolve and protection, making you tankier and freeing up a slot from Vigor. Lastly, Armaments hits too little and is way too easy to dodge, I'd rather use Haunting Curse and/or Crystal Weapon for delayed burst.
asylum staff honestly just isnt that good on sorc. it does nothing for your burst combo which is how you kill people and it forces you to run rally and shield on back bar with no inner light.
No, but it doesn't cost a 2 piece and there is really great major buffs/debuffs. I personally really like major vitality + class script. The class script makes it hit twice with that 2nd hit being AOE, helps to proc surge easier, and adds about 18% more damage.
@@Fe7on just tested both setups. Asylum with lover / charged and crafty with shadow / sharpened on high elf. It’s pretty close to same damage but 3% up time on status effects with asylum but a smidge more burst with new ability by about 400ish. I don’t have class mastery script yet but that would hit way harder than at that point.
@@Fe7on In you last nb video which was a while ago you were using shattered fate. I believe shattered and order's are still very good options although I heard you mentioning essence thief on a stream with 4 light pieces. Do you think that would be a good idea for solo pvp (cyro and bgs)?
Not even using the class script… shock damage with the class script is literally better, and contingency is literally free burst so why would you not use maj breach then drop ele for contingency
I literally explain in the video why I don't run the class mastery, if your dumbass watched it you wouldn't have even typed this, also physical damage his harder on sorc than shock damage.

contingency with warrior opportunity and force isnt a bad idea. but been there/tried that, losing balorgh and having to add recovery to jewelry ultimately just nets an overall loss in dps and balorgh is just better for burst combo, or immense pressure if you use vamp.
