I always thought protoman's were too. But his eyes are red with the dissapointment of having to wear glasses attached to his helmet and under said helmet.
Best scar And, you could even call it a battlescar since you were fighting alongside them that night If it didn't leave one, there's always next time. I hope someday that I can get myself John Connor'd by The Protomen, personally.

@@nopenopenopenope4076 It was supposed to according to what they apparently said on Facebook and tour last year, probably this month as well judging by Act I and II's releases.
I've seen Protomen 3 times at Magfest now. This year the sound was on point. Loved the set list, I'm totally nitpicking but would have swapped an older song out for Breaking Out. Other than that, it was an amazing show. One of the best concerts of my life. I will never forget it.
@@Assasengirl For me, it was about 7 years ago now. I went in on a whim and ever since, they've taken the slot as my top band. But Panther...let me just say, I consider myself a straight dude, _however,_
I only recently discovered The Protomen and I've lived in Nashville my whole life. Such a tragedy it took this long. This entire video is fire, but THIS version of No Way Back inparticular gives me chills every time I hear it. I seen a version live in Boston, and it just doesn't touch this passion, emotion, nor vocal strength. I PRAY when Act III is released, the album version carries this same energy over!
This is probably the best concert recording i've seen of The Protomen, but even so, it pales in comparison to what they sound like in person. Somehow I've never seen a concert vid that didn't somewhat flatten Panther and the Gambler's voices out, which is a shame because I'd be willing to give up my left ear if the Protomen were the last thing it got to hear.
Being here for this concert was a sincere highlight of my life, we even got photos with the band before the show at their meet and greet, you couldn't ask for a cooler group of people to see and support, for real.
Same here. I saw them in Amsterdam during their european tour. I'm Polish and flew there with my best friend specifically to see the show and holy shit I'd do it again if given the chance. The show was incredible, I stood front row RIGHT IN FRONT OF PANTHER and we got to talk to all the band members afterwards. They were all super chill, Shock Magnum gave us guitar picks that he used during the tour because he appreciated that we came all the way from Poland and everyone was generally super nice, very humble and they all seemed to genuinely care. A dream of mine came true that day and I'm so happy that this band which is so important to me is made up of people that are genuinely admirable.
@@user-td6rb Ah, apparently he's still alive (the RIP talk got me actually concerned) but he was too burnt-out from touring and personal life had to take priority, dang.
I've heard of The Protomen for years but just rubbed them off as another generic video game music band like most of these people here but I went to this and was blown away by how amazing this was.
Thank you. I've been waiting for this post since the show. I was there. My 73 year old father gave me the hook after the show. I was SO pumped and wanted so badly to stay.
no way back sounds fucking great. I can't wait for Act III EDIT: the crowd screaming "At the heart of the city" fuck man. I really need to watch Protomen live
Is panther gonna cameo in Cobra Kai season 4 in the flashback scenes as young Johnny Lawrence? Cuz holy hell does he look a lot like him. Plus I freaked when I heard their cover of In the Air Tonight in season 3 💚
I will repost this here as it is how I feel in my true heart of hearts: "I was crowd-bound, standing center stage, about 5 feet away from the Mediatron boys in my Dadpool costume. When the lights went down and the synth I've heard so many times in my life queued I closed my eyes. I slowly transcended space and time and then rematerialized with a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was a nice touch." Also, If you saw my red hands... Well, you caught me... ;D
Calling Out is such a banger i,,, i just can't wait for the rest of Act III because all the ones i've heard are amazing even the unspecified intro, especially the unspecified intro
I went not only because I love the band, but on behalf of one of my best friends.. it was an experience, and meeting them was fucking awesome...here's hoping me and my bro can make magfest next year, together. ( got him a signed album at least tho)
I have 2 observations about the song arrangements in this performance. 1: "Intro to Hope" seemingly borrows the outro from the studio version of "The Sons of Fate", which is an interesting detail, as Sons of Fate was the last in-universe song of act 1. 2: This performance's version of "Funeral for a Son" is a wildly different take on the song compared to the studio version (barely distinguishable as the same song unless you're paying close attention to the motifs), and given how it leads into "Unspecified Intro (Unreleased - Act 3)," I feel like the combination of the two recontextualizes this version of "FfaS" into a reprise-esque track, mourning Doctor Light's evident death (throughout every act 3 song, he's referred to in the past tense).
Remember Hamburg! New record. Lowest ticket sale on European tour! Thanks so much for the incredible show! Cornelius with the old version T-Shirt. :D Hope to see you some time again.
I'm fucking pissed, the Crucial Water Bottle Moment during the Hounds is cut off a bit. How Dare You. For real, incredible show, thank you for the timely VOD upload boys.
He's about a foot shorter, but otherwise I see where you're going with that. Also, have you seen this shirt? eu.kingsroadmerch.com/protomen/view/?id=16792&cid=4318
I'm frequently searching for new songs to my playlist, trying something new... But since 2007 this new songs is sharing the space with The Protomen. 2018 had Stuck in the Sound... and Protomen. 2019 Anathema and Devin Townsend... and Protomen. 2020 Steven Wilson and his Porcupine Tree... and Protomen. Thanks guys for the gift you left for us, men and machine.
