L.D von Habsburg - Thanks L.D. Truly appreciated. Sorry for the delayed response, I just saw your comment this morning. I always try to respond immediately to any comments (good or bad) 😂😂😂. Cheers, Jeebs 👍🏼
Congrats - you’re going to love it 👍🏼. I have a ton of free Merlin & Boondocker play along / tutorials here: jaromin.com/demos/ and also on my RU-vid channel @jeebsmcsnooty8934 👍🏼👍🏼
Great job and thank you. Just got a Merlin and am trying to learn to play it and it is always more fun to play songs you love while learning how to play especially for a 71 year old like me!
Thanks Doowopsid I really appreciate your feedback. The dulcimer is a really fun instrument at any age. I’m just a couple of years older than and I really love it. Please subscribe to my channel as I am planning to review a new dulcimer in the near future and I think you might enjoy it. Thanks again 👍🏼. Jeebs.
@@jeebsmcsnooty8934 Thanks for taking the time to respond to me. I did subscribe and am looking forward to watching more of your videos. I hope your future lessons will include the details of the chords you’re playing which are very helpful.
Hello, can you do more tutorials please? You have a good song selection, unlike other ukulele teachers who always pick some pop bullshity things. Also just an excercise would be fun, not like real songs, but excercises extracted out of some songs, so we learn the technique. Have a wonderful day.
Thanks Frederik, I'll try to find some time here shortly. I just moved house so things are bit upside down right now. I really appreciate your feedback.
Bob Hansen - thanks Bob, appreciate the feedback. Only one other person has as shown any interest in a tutorial for this so it may be a while. But, if you want to personally message me on Facebook with your email address I can send you my notes and tabs that I made in preparation for making the tutorial to get you going until I make the video. Cheers 👍🏼 Jeebs
Hi Silver, I only had one request for a tutorial on this (yours) so I probably won't take the time to make on. However, if you send me your email address I will be happy to send you my chord chart with some crib notes. Let me know. Cheers, Jeebs
Jeez mate you are shit hot! I am watching this from deepest darkest Victoria, Australia. We are doing all the same stuff here ie social distancing etc. have been a long time fan of Rod, you do it so well, I have a lot of ukes none like that . THANKYOU!
Very nice. I think they are up to 189 but still a a good value for a non Chinese import. I hope they are still made in Canada but you can never tell these days. I also do Dulcimer but the way you play take a slightly different muscle memory. I think I am going to have a 1+ and 6+ fret added to mine.
@@lanceriffle4841 Thanks Lance. I play an American made Boondocker now. I prefer it to the Merlin. Made by Jaromin Guitars. You should check them out: www.jaromin.com
@@jeebsmcsnooty8934 Thanks for the tip. They do look nice at about the same price. Which wood combination did you get. I am kind of a spruce fan boy but I have heard a few mahagany top guitars that sound real good to me.
Whitney McFall - You’re welcome Whitney, thanks for the feedback. The tuning is D-A-D-D where the top 2 strings are tuned identically to give it some more resonance ( similar to a sitar), and the diatonic scale is in the key of D Major ... 👍🏼
