Maghreb and Friends is one of the premier fusion masterpieces of the 21st century. It is a must buy record. This song is on that record. Every tune is amazing. Just get it. Too bad this cuts off. Bojan Z is phenomenal.
Great, great concert it's so sad that BELDA didn't make a DVD for this, it's a real piece of art.. everybody was playing more than good. this is my favourite album for the last 4 years
this is incredible. is this concert available on dvd? maghreb & friends and Ifrikya are 2 of the best albums ever recorded. too bad the vid cut off at bojan's solo. thanks for posting this great music.

Michel Alibo is an inspiration to me. I have been a Nguyen Lé fan for many years but only recently did I discover Michel's amazing bass playing with Angelique Kidjo. He's truly a risk-taker and it always pays off! I listen to this album regularly. Thanks for putting this up!
Brad, I couldn't agree more. It's thanks to Michel Alibo that I discovered -- and have since become an ARDENT fan of -- Nguyen Le. Alibo is truly one of the best "world fusion" bassists on this planet.
Walked into HMV in Hong Kong this afternoon and bought some CD's purely by feeling... a Nguyen Le CD simply because it said that he collaborated with Youn Sun Nah, who I had the pleasure of meeting in Korea & for whom I have much respect, simply love her music. Then did some research on Nguyen Le... ended up listening to this clip... stunningly pleasant & inspirational. Love it. I simply love discovering sublime tunes.
Maghreb and friends may possibly be the finest world jazz album of the last decade. In the words of Paul McCandless (Oregon multi reedman and Le collaborator,) "This CD is SICK!"
@philmastro no I was talking about the (MAGHREB AND FRIENDS PROJECT - LIVE IN ALGEIRS) album that was produced in 2002 (9 years ago) by : BELDA DIFFUSION record's company, it is still in sell here in algeria, and I do have it since 4 years... it contains 6 long tracks and it's way better than the maghreb and friends album which contains 9 tracks
