This was a fun interview! 😊 these are such cultural fun intelligent and humble gentlemen! Really nice seeing them in a relaxed setting. Funny questions too! I will sorely miss Estacy. My heart goes out to his family and dear friends ❤ 👊🏽
Jalil, I caught that SOUL BROTHERS FROM L.A. SHOUT OUT! He's talking about the legendary Dancers for Def Jef. Salute Kraig E., V LUV, and THE LEGEND!! SOUL BROTHERS! That's right, Jalil #Whodini #TheHits
It was 1985, The rapper's convention at the Manhattan Armory NYC.. Our record company stablemates took the stage first. I wondered why Jalil hadn't joined Ecstasy as he performed their hit songs. Then I realized. That wasn't even Ecstasy on stage ! It was his twin brother Dynasty :-) . You guys certainly set the standard and made our A&R Barry Weiss a very wealthy dude. As for us, radio jockey ( Chuck Leonard) gave us accolades as the new kids on the block..Then we performed our jams "Temper" and "Sounds of the mic" . Dick Clark played "Sounds of the mic" on American Bandstand. While "Temper was featured in Hip hop documentary Electro Rock. Plus enjoyed that live on air interview with The Awesome 2. We enjoyed the opportunity , but you guys left an indelible legacy. I'm Mr.J of the Gifted 4 encees and stablemate with the great Whodini. . OLD SCHOOL RULES--- Peace.
Jalil lost his teeth during a fight at a show in Germany a while back. Whodini fan club started a GoFundMe page last year to get him some implants. I'm not sure if they reached the 15K goal. You can hear that echo through his dentures. ONE LOVE!
He didn't get to his best I believe that if John Ecstacy Fletcher was still alive Whodini can a would've made a comeback with some positive music for hip-hop
