You can use burning and then melt every shot with ganyu. It's a really good way to consistently melt with her

Surprisingly actually this would be a good bow for dps Faruzan! And shes honestly the only other dps bow option that can perform very well in mono comps. Not the best I dont think but would definitely be a good 5star option. Faruzans primary role is a support obviously, but she makes a fantastic and really fun dps, especially at c6 when energy stops being a concern, who can support herself within her own kit.

Tip for Tighnari: What sands you use on him really is dependent on his bow. Hunters Path wants an EM sands due to its passive that converts a percentage of his EM to charged attack damage. If you are running other bows like The First Great Magic, he'll perform better with an Attack sands (as long as it as as good sub stats and you can still maintain 200-300 em with substats). The build tested here was a bit over caped on EM for TFGM.

Amber also works with the Magic Bow oddly enough. Meaning if you had Two Magic Bow's one on Lyney and one on Amber both being the same Pyro element wouldn't that mean the skill would always be active ?

for Hunter path you need to do the major reaction (melt for Ganyu and spread with electro applied for Tighnari)

Something that is not mentioned much is the movement speed the bow gives. I have it on my Ganyu with 2 Anemo + Deyha during day / Rosaria during night, and she's a speed demon. If I had Yelan, she'd be even faster. It is seriously a lot of fun in the overworld especially as I am catching up with the desert exploration.

its just a minor thing, but tighnari and baizhu together activate dendro resonance which gives EM to the team and therefor TECHNICALLY boosts hunters path a tiny bit

My take is that this bow would do very well on Ganyu for freeze teams versus R1 Amos. You will get more crit damage as well as running at least two cryo, so you will have the attack buff and charge attack bonus. And you don't need crit rate on artifacts at all because of the freeze artifact set, party bonus for dual cryo, and also the bonus from her kit to crit rate on her lvl 2 charge attacks

Pulled one when it dropped for Tighnari, maxed it yesterday. Christ almighty it's so much better than the Windblume Ode I had to use on him until now. Looks incredible too.

I got the first great magic and used it on melt teams with no additional cryo characters, she was hitting 115k melt on the second hit form her frost arrow. When I used Nahida burn melt w Nahida’ ult to further boost EM, the second hit was melting for 146k :) I’ve never gotten close to these numbers w/ 4 star weapons.

I think Tighnari with Nahida and Baizhu would be good with this. With this super Dendro Spread team I find Raden the most convenient Electro support just for her long E duration.

I got this for Ganyu, sure it would work on her. Thankfully, it does and looks gorgeous too.

I think that you should trie melt with all bows because normally in freeze ganyu you dont use charge atacks

Been running r4 great magic on my c6 ganyu on a freeze squad and it slaaaappps. Set up being Ganyu Layla xingqiu/koko and ayaka for that 30% def decrease from her c4 and it’s been awesome the damage is crazy

im disappointed you didnt check ganyu's movement speed on max stacks, because i actually really miss the 10% ms prototype crescent used to give me before i swapped over to aqua

I did not pull an Aqua Symulacra for my scrunky to be relagated to a 'niche support'.

Im going for Yelan's bow for Ganyu burnmelt and freeze instead of Lyney bow, it helps I have Yelan but i don't imagine it would work as comfortably as fav bow on her. I also think it suits Ganyu's color palette

You could do a tighnari team with 3 dendro (counting himself) and one fischl. I would level 90 the fischl in that case, though, and make sure she is C6 with a good artifact set.

Amos bow also hits very hard if u had more stats than 52 :140 ratio. U build ganyu with 57:210 ratio and she will hit hard.

hunters path is good but u just didnt use it correctly. its made for elemental reactions, so in this case, u shud also allow the 383em melt into the calc and test the other bow in melt too

for reference on Aloy; its not good for her, but yes she can be a DPS; her main teams being Freeze, phys and my personal favourite, Melt, with her burst acting like a nuke and when used with Kazuha, its easy to gain her stacks

For hunters path you want to run ganyu on EM sands to buff hunters path with Bennett as a support so it fixes her low attack. If you are running melt ganyu stats and build (like 400 em). It will for sure be lower damage than a freeze build when you are testing reactionless damage with first great magic or Amos bow as they don’t scale off EM and reactions TLDR; hunters path will be better in a melt team when you build her EM and use Bennett for melt charged shots

*(TL;DR = The First Great Magic (TFGM) is Stronks!)* Since you didn't have an R1 Amos to test, I will come in to share my experience. (I've also used Genshin Optimizer with the same minimum requirements for both Bows to see what would be the MOST OPTIMAL builds I could use with each weapon. I've also tried simply swapping the Bows while keeping the same Builds.) The First Great Magic (TFGM) vs Amos: In my testing, I was surprised to witness TFGM actually coming out on top compared to Amos R1 *Most of the time.* I've tried *without Team Buffs,* as well as *with Team Buffs.* I've tried *Freeze / Melt / Mono Cryo.* I've tried *with Shenhe Quills* too, and TFGM came out on top. This is no surprise, becuase Shenhe's Quills are a Flat increase which can Crit.. so TFGM having this Massive Crit Dmg% Bonus over the Amos makes Shenhe's Quills have a higher damage ceiling and thus are *more potent with higher CritDmg%.* -Overall, some tests came quite close between the two. -I have experienced only *One scenario* where the *Amos was stronger:* when *Solo Ganyu* and no team buffs whatsoever. The damage from Amos in this scenario was a bit stronger than TFGM by *~300* (which is barely anything at all lol) -As soon as I started adding different Buffs like *Kazuha, Bennett, Shenhe,* or a combination of these, TFGM started pulling ahead. It did so by a *bigger margin* than the one Scenario where Amos was on top. It took me so long to get a 5* weapon for my Ganyu, which was the Amos. It would have been nice it each character's BiS could actually remain their BiS weapons, but sadly, newer weapons seem to be getting stronger and stronger. *Before TFGM:* -Amos was already outclassed in Melt Teams by: *Acqua / Hunter'sPath.* -Amos was already outclassed in Freeze Teams (quickswap) by: *Acqua / PolarStar / ThunderingPulse / MoonR5 / PrototypeR5 / SkyHarp* -Amos was already outclassed in Mono-Cryo Teams by: *Acqua / PolarStar / ThunderingPulse / MoonR5 / PrototypeR5 / SkyHarp / Hunter'sPath* I think the only weapon that was stronger than Amos in all scenarios (with full Team Buffs) was Acqua Simulacra. And now that TFGM performs even better than Acqua in all those scenarios (mainly because of the better Passives and Higher Base Atk), I think it's safe to say that: *The First Great Magic has now become Ganyu's overall Best In Slot* (Smol Caveat to keep in mind: These were the results for my account with the Artifacts I had. The results may be a bit different for other people depending on their own builds/artifacts. Still, TFGM has proven to be a great weapon for Ganyu, and very good in all types of teams. If you already have a 5* Bow on your Ganyu like Amos / Acqua / PolarStar / even SkyHarp, you dont really need to pull for TFGM. But, If you really love your Ganyu, and you don't have any 5* Weapon for her yet, *This Current Weapon banner is probably the Best it's ever gonna be for you.* Both of these Bows (TFGM / Acqua) outperform the Amos in all of Ganyu's Teams. If you've ever wanted to wish on a Weapon Banner, This one is GOATed. *Now is the Time!* )

Well my c0 R1 Ganyu on wanderer's troupe with Amos with critr 45+20/212cdmg does 15k+28-29k on crit. That makes me think I don't need the new bow and also I was lucky to have aqua on the last yelan banner so even melt comp is done for me.

Lyney bow in beta test have first passive is 12% ATK instead of 16% CA, then they changed it first passive to make it only good for Lyney. I had it but it seem kind of meh when it is used by other characters. The only good thing is the CD in sub stat, so you can easily balance your CR/CD. Most of bow chars damage come from reaction, except for Lyney.

melt ganyu would perform better if you, well, melt. thats why hunters path is good because it lets you double dip into EM. also, weapon performance and rankings can change depending on team buffs

When in doubt, Aqua Simulacra They're in the same banner anyways so might aswell

Hunter's Path is only usable in melt on Ganyu

I was going for aqua just now but got this bow instead even though I'm not pulling for lyney. I'm not upset at all. I don't mind getting any of those two because I'm f2p and needed a 5 star crit bow so any if fine. The fact I didn't lost to a random standard weapon is good enough. Idc if it's not the best bow for my characters. They WILL share it 😂 I will collect only one crit weapon for each type and I only dare to pull for this banner because it's a win-win situation. Also I heard it's good for amber so yay I guess lol

I do think it would be good on Fischl, Oz is a lowkey great damage dealer, and well Electro Resonance is one of the stronger resonances so there's certainly a lot of times when you would pair her with Kuki, Beidou, Yae, or Raiden.

The reason Hunter's Path performed so poorly on Ganyu is cuz its a reaction based bow. If you were melting her charged shots whil her attack was buffed with Bennet, it would've done way more damage than what was shown. Though im not sure if it would've done more than first great magic or Amos bow

try out 4p blizzard strayer ganyu + x2 2p atk shenhe with something like a missive windspliter + a tenacity layla + noblesse mona

Definitely try Kuki with Lyney, it’s easy to build his stacks with her healing it’s like the fastest interval ya know so you can just pop off shots.

Im using this bow for monopyro Yoimiya and it works better than my r1 Rust

With tighnari he usually wants nahida with him, just like alhaitham, because he still benefits from the extra elemental mastery which just increases his dmg irregardless. If someone has tighnari but no hunters path, this weapon would be good if you also own nahida. Hes very specific in what he actually wants though, you'll need certain bows and stuff otherwise it just feels like his dmg is puny. Alongside an electro unit like fischl yae or raiden as well. Hes very reliable on what he has, this new bow is definitely good on him but you need nahida too if you want it to work decently well, but if you have hunters path obviously use that. Only issue is hunters path won't show up on banners often or at all, same with beacon, so theyre gonna be rare weapons for the most part.

Now guess what will Moga upload next: Kafka god mode or Lyney God mode

The FGM is an amazing bow on Sara Kujou in Hypercarry Raiden team, you get the ATK% bonus from having 2 electro units on that team, and when fully invested in her she hits an upward of 200k on her initial burst damage.

I failed my 50/50 trying for Aqua and ended up getting Skyward Harp instead of this. Ganyu is still somewhat pleased.

For a ganyu team with all the attack stacks then you would probably use ganyu, Shenhe, and diona and then xiangling for melt

Tighnari / Yae / Nahida / Baizhu doesn't seem like a weird or weak comp to me. So without Hunter's Path that could be nice, even though attack is not as valuable on Tigh, but it's more consistent than ICD.

I don’t use charged shot ganyu but I’m curious how good it would be for freeze ganyu with two other cryo units but burst damage because on my teams she never uses her bow attacks

It's pretty much a worse stat stick than Aqua on all bow characters but it's better then Amos on ganyu if it's r1 amos similar with tighnari because his weapon despite not existing on banners is better to have on him
