Yeah, Shirous circuits can only handle ~10 units of power (that damages them in the process) while tohsaka’s circuits can handle ~1000 units of magical energy. Shirou has an above average amount of really weak circuits

@@yesno7284 Shirou has atrophied circuits that were average quality.Due to not being used for majority of his lifetime they have been degraded, kind of like Muscles.If they were used at full capacity or refined they 'd be usable.Look at Emiya .As a servant he has B rank in mana which is 40 times the mana capacity of your average mage.If he wasnt spending most of it being anchored to the world and incarnated in a physical body by any instance he'd coincidentally have an even greater capacity than rin.Though i do admit that is probably because of his deal with Alaya in his life that buffed him up

We don’t know what this is, but it sounds like a very ominous being. He also once broke through multiple powerful bounded fields just to eavesdrop on a meeting. He nearly killed Alkides. So yeah, he’s a beast. Even Touko, who has EX quality and B quantity is seen as an utter monster.

Also, I hypothesise that the entity he sees is possibly the hooded figure Aoko and others see. It’s sort of an emissary of the world. When it shows up, it serves as a warning to Aoko: “yo, if you continue to use that power, you will become an enemy of the world.”

@@JohnDoe-wn7vi as far as I understand it: Kiritsugu died without teaching that much magecraft to Shirou and he was never taught how to properly train his magic circuits so most of them were never activated, he was pretty much undoing any progress he did with training his circuits, so as he grew up those circuits were, perhaps atrophied is not the best word but you could say dormant think of it like this if you try to walk with your leg muscles atrophied you’re likely going to fall, likewise with numb legs, one situation still has a “healthy” limb but the end result is the same you fall. So Shirou has no access to these circuits and he has no idea how to use them or that he even has them he can’t feel them he has no training in directing magic through them. They might not be atrophied in the sense that they were changed by disuse but they were very much like a limb someone have never used regardless of how strong or weak it is it has no muscle memory no ingrained nerve pathways, it’s why babies take so long to learn to walk without looking goofy. So when Shirou started “activating” those circuits it caused him pain he had no idea how to use them so he hurt them. As to what archer did to him my way of understanding is that he simply made the direct connection between their magic circuits and their magic and them being the same person Shirou simply got archers entire experience of how to activate these circuits, in the previously analogy he got all his muscle memory, just like what happens when they’re fighting it was the direct contact between their magic circuits that caused it. Well you know what they saw about "Power corrupts". Stating the obvious but most mages are amoral at best.

The more people practice magecraft the weaker it gets and the old families aleardy have a lot of circuits on top of generations of study on a certain subject that consumes their time. Having everyone gain acces to magecraft or even growing the number of magus by a little would actually harm their own magecraft. On top of that even if they did and succeded it will be a cold day in hell before they think of sharing it with anyone else. Magus are naturally very selfish and amoral people. The good ones we see in fate series? They are the minority.

The codex has even more abilities such as generating an electric field which hides the users mana especially rendering a the most powerful mages undetectable, and much more.

In addition to all this the guy decided to break the rules of summoning a servant and basically manually summoned his servants yes two of them, and stuffed their heroic spirits inside mindless homunculi bodies so his servants would basically have their own internal magic production on top of the truck loads of magic he is already dumping into their systems turn his servants into absolute units effectively making energy a non concern for king Arthur and Mordrid which are the two servants he summoned.

Though he is not the only master in the war who is rocking some additional power ups because Sieg returns from the other world to lead Astolfo, Jeane, and Siegfried in the holy grail war, and Sieg still has the ability to turn into a mother ducking dragon. Also, Astolfo and Jeane are just sticking around because of the events in fate/apocrapha, so the only servant Sieg actually summoned is Siegfried with Astolfo and Jeane simply barrowing mana due to their previous attunement to him.

Guda ga Shinda he used what he got from archers battle of unlimited blade works and fought goldie with it afterwards during the ending of the holy grail war

Technically yes, I assume.... Archer is an unusual case, in terms of heroic spirits, but we can use his example as a model for answering your question. We know this from Heaven's Feel: Archer's arm is attached to Shirou's body, via the magic circuits. Archer's circuits (and their power) are what would fuck Shirou up, if not for the shroud of Martin acting as a seal. Said circuits (when used correctly) are also a major part of what lets Shirou fight to the level he does in HF.

We can assume that some have natural circuits from their lifetime and others are simply given through their nature as mysteries. We have examples of servants that don't have magic circuits tho, such as Artoria who has a magic core instead.

@@launcherx2044 circuits are what mages are born with, artiria pendragon was given dragon blood which became like a core. Dragon's in fate are the top dogs of magical beast, so artiria's magic power is A+ because of it.

Sort of. It depends on quality and amount of Circuits. Someone with a lot of low quality circuits wouldn't be able to channel as much energy as someone with a few high quality circuits. The best example of this is the Aozaki sisters. Both Touko and Aoko only have about 20 Circuits, but their efficiency is so high they can handle more energy than even most of the higher tier mages who have a lot of circuits.

Your average mage has 20 decent ones...... he's got 27 shitty ones. Like, his magical energy output is literally 1% of Rin's. As for his pact with the world, I'm not sure how that worked out for his circuits in life (pretty sure that's never stated numerically). And once he's a counter guardian, his outputs are obviously gonna be higher, but (IIRC) the number of circuits is still never mentioned.

@@TheN13 Shirou don't have shitty circuits thats fanfiction those 27 circuits quality is unknown but it should be atleast average they seem low COMPARED to RIN which is not fair as she was stated to have a capacity "20 times an AVERAGE MATURE MAGUS" despite the wiki say he don't have a shitty circuits literally most of the fandom hate the wiki because of this and nasu literally said that he could summon his reality marble in 10 years of leaning the basics and another 10 on mastering it and Reality marble is costly and this was FATE ROUTE Shirou who got 3 tenths of his magical circuits taken by saber meaning Shirou only have 19 left meaning he could summon a reality marble with only 19 circuits

Not realy. Shirou is just not naturally born with good circuits unlike Rin. Technically, he was using his own nerves to compensate to the requirement of even casting Reinforcement Magic, which is by itself, a basic-ass magecraft. He has fewer magic circuits properly channel Mana.

The story wouldn't change that much, Shirou would probably win more fights and the story would be shorter

I think that he just has low quality circuits. He trained wrong sort of destroying his progress everytime he trained his magecraft so it’s like muscles that were never used so they atrophied but his circuit qualities would always be low
