It makes more sense to give your money to a more productive cause in terms of the number of ministries available to provide for the largest population possible. Giving it to a smaller church could mean the church would have less experience with allocating such funds and less Ministries to disperse the funds to. He also sees this ministry as home which is most important factor. Lastly the smaller the church the less the cost of failure and or reestablishment.

+cheryl hendricks I understand that you guys are hurting or have been hurt, but it makes no sense for you guys to bash an entire organization for what you went thru. Lots of people have been hurt in the church, but lots of people have also been helped in the church. Bishop Blake doesn't like to brag about the good he does, but because of Bishop Blake and West Angeles lots of people have jobs, lots of people have shelter, and lots of people have food on the table. My mom was just telling me how Bishop Blake use to go house to house and witness to people every week and would also pay struggling family's rent each month to make sure they had a place to stay. He grew his church from nothing and now you guys want to tear him down. If you don't know the man personally why attack him? I don't feel that's Christ-like.

Ares Smith If you watched the video, it was clear that the money would NOT be spread throughout the organization. They are paying off a huge mortgage. Further, everybody knows that as this is the "head" church, all the monies flow INTO and not OUT of this church. Not being negative. I mean it's a nice effort in giving that amount of money but it's to many of African Americans in poverty then to just give religious organization this great bulk of money to pay for a building they shouldn't have gotten if they weren't able to afford it in the first place. At the. end of the video Magic mention tithe, what was the reason for that. But I duly believe it's more major churches that are corrupt then smaller ones. I see the smaller churches in my city doing more for the poor and African American community than the Mega churches

+Darius Shivers West Angeles COGIC employs over 350 people and has helped thousands of people out with food and shelter. West Angeles Cathedral was purposely built in the hood, and because the building was built it has caused property value around it to go up, making money for the businesses in the area and bringing new businesses to the area. Without West Angeles Cathedral lots of African Americans will lose their jobs. I stand by my comment of the smaller churches being most corrupted, lots of times smaller churches go under the radar some Pastors of smaller churches drive Luxury cars and have a bigger house than their own church and I'm not saying all smaller churches are corrupt but if your church is not growing something is not right. Bishop Blake started off with a small church of 50 members but grew his to 25,000 plus members, he didn't start off with celebrities being in his church, they came later on. Now that celebrities want to give the church money for it blessing them you guys want to attack and complain. It's Magic's money he can do whatever he wants to do with it and I commend him for giving it to the church instead of buying another house. I feel we should stand behind our own people when they do something good instead of trying to criticize them or tear them down because they didn't do what you wanted them to do with their own money.
