My favorite Magic moment from the old Fabulous Forum back in '86 or '87. I was sitting near the players tunnel. 3 seconds left before half, the other team shooting free throws. Magic lines up for the free throw. The other player misses the 2nd shot, Magic jumps, get's the rebound and with 2 steps, he winds up like a baseball pitcher and heaves the ball about 80' in the air. As soon as he let it go I stood up and said it's going in. I stood before anyone else did and watched it go in and then turned to the crowd and watched the sellout crowd of 17,505 ( real Laker fans know that number by heart) all stand up in unison with both hands in the air screaming. It was electrifying. I turned back to the floor and watched Magic in a slow jog run off the court like it was no big deal! It was awesome!

I'm a Colts fan with absolutely zero connection to the Washington franchise. To say this is a great thing for that fan base and a great thing for the NFL would be a drastic understatement. This is one of the most storied franchises in all of football. The depths the previous regime took them is shameful and should never have happened. I'm happy for you guys and if the Dodgers are any indication on how things are going to be I think it's just a matter of time before the "Commanders" are one of the best places to play/coach in the league. And challenging for regular playoff appearances and super bowls. You guys deserve it. You've suffered SO much for so long. Congratulations to the fans and to Magic! And I don't care who you are or where you came from if you don't love Magic and everything he stands for there is something wrong with you. Just a great guy. Couldn't have happened to a better person. And to think, about 32 years ago if someone would have told you how the next chapter of his life was gonna play out.. hes lived 2 dream lives. Truly remarkable.

I can't stand Dallas or Philly so Washington being well run and a good team is in my best interests. The absolute best thing for the new ownership to do is fan first. Whether it's a fan vote to keep the Commanders name or go with one of the fanbase's choosing, to where a new stadium should go and what it should look like, to community outreach and interaction programs, to hiring competent professionals regardless or ethnicity or gender.

4% of $6 billion is $240 million. Every 1% of value the team grows Magic earns $2.4 million. He may eventually own a greater percentage and have increased input especially if his partners value him as a partner. Obviously they do because they brought him in as part of the team.
