@@jared2433 : Nah. Except for Kareem, he made those players better. I’ll tell you what Magic didn’t do: go around arranging for his favorite players to become his teammates, get coaches and executives forced out, run away from the opposing team’s’ best players/scorers during the final minutes of games (knowing they were about to take the game-winning shots), and whine or run away like a little cissy when the media asked tough questions. But there’s a current so-called superstar who does ALL of that! Can you guess who?

Check these additional videos out to see what Showtime Lakers, led by Magic, were all about... Here’s a few other videos that are very good watches for fans of Magic, or for people who may not know much about Magic but want to learn more about him as a player, or for people who seem to underestimate his greatness and may need some extra convincing and evidence of it. All are very entertaining and compelling to watch. Check them out to see exactly why he was called Magic... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q8Qbo0WqvOI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-so8R3NTbnEw.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-axbIoHqFaa8.html The first video is another very well-done highlight video, not just of his amazing passes, but also of his very underrated offensive abilities as a scorer (right and left handed hook shots, countless half-full court buzzer beaters, (as if he practiced those shots hundreds of times), demonstrating his clutchness). Showtime Lakers on full display...fast break after fast break after fast break. Just constantly running up and down the floor, like a track meet... The second video is actual game footage that shows Magic and Showtime Lakers in an actual game, rather than just highlights, to demonstrate that they really played that way throughout entire games, and that it’s not just a series of highlights inflating them up. Showtime Lakers were so much fun and very exciting to watch... The last video is an HBO documentary that is one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen. (Many clips from it were spliced into this video above). It highlights the Magic vs. Bird rivalry, which still to this day was one of the best rivalries in all of sports. It gives insight into not just their NBA careers, but also their lives, early careers, and childhoods. A very compelling story to watch... If you’re a fan of basketball in general, you’ll definitely enjoy watching these videos...

Magic Johnson is 6 feet 9 inch tall who plays on point guard position. If opponent PG guard him, it will be mismatch because of height advantage. They don't know how to block him. The only chance is steal his ball, or double-teamed him. Alas, his vision and passing skill are extraordinary. All i can say is, he breaks the game 'rule'. Magic is also able to use his body power against smaller guard player during full-court fastbreak plays; and in half-court plays, he possess babyhook skill to do unblockable shots.

Living through these eras, watching careers start and end, it’s simple amazing. You watch all these magnificent players, some you love and others you hate, and when they retire regardless of which it is, you miss them terribly, knowing the sport will never be the same. I remember watching Kareem with my dad on black and white TV, watching Magic and Bird rookie seasons, watching the two great dynasties going at it, watching Jordan in college, take the league by storm and raise it to unimaginable levels. The dream team. Ewing, Hakeem, The Admiral, Duncan, Shaq, Kobe… after the Bulls dynasty ended, I lost interest, it just wasn’t the same. Kobe got me interested again, but since his retirement I rarely watch the regular season and playoffs. I watched the finals last year and enjoyed it, but for me it doesn’t compare to what was. I’m just thankful I experienced so many players, games, rivalries, and history.
