I mean that's what it is. Magic mirror playset + exclusive doll. They did the unique marketing trick of advertising the doll before the mirror which may not be a good idea.
I love that they made bigger dolls! She is so pretty that I can easily overlook the lack of wrist articulation. Can pass on all the mirror stuff, would be great if they just sell the dolls at this size, at a reasonable price
I wish you could get the Pixling dolls (in general) without the gimmick. The dolls are so cute and so pretty but i dont want a giant chunk of plastic that is a one time use :/
Incoming Clearance doll bc $60 is wild for that at least the articulation is decent ( rainbow high 👀) That mirror is creeeeepyyy ( hello tracey tree rainforest Cafe kinda creepy)
I bought her a few days ago at Target and I don't think she's worth $60 dollars. I will not be hunting for the 2nd outfit because that would be crazy $$. I like the doll and would buy others without the giant mirror.
I think she's cute but definitely will make myself wait until I have some sort of coupon. And I wonder if there will be a way to discern which version of her will be the chase color variant and if that one would even be worth trying to get instead of the standard edition Also, PRESS THE DIAMOND TO CONTINUE
The different versions have different coloured wardrobes! So there won’t be any way to mix them up (unless you’re colourblind, but I’m sure it’ll show a picture of the Pixling as well)
I dunno. the competition would be stuff like the monster high monster fest truck. That is priced the same as the magic mirror. playsets are expensive smh.
@@nixxdra Theoretically it isn't. The mirror has that fortune telling gimmick. You can go through the magic mirror process again. The confetti is just a couple felt pieces, that you pick back up and put back in the mirror. Moose toys sells refills of the potions. I'm pretty sure their potions are just glorified soap though so no there's need to actually bother with buying the refills, if you don't want to. You could argue that it's kind of dumb and cheesy and that kids wouldn't actually like it that much. But I think it is a disservice to say you do it once and then are bored of it. I would put it on the same level of appeal as those electronic talking secret diaries my friends were obsessed with when I was 7.
I wish they did rereleases of dolls without the unboxing gimmick too, give the customers two options of the same doll and the one without the bottles and mirrors would probably sell better
60 doll hairs is too much for this set for sure, but what really banished any thought of buying one of these girls for myself is the european price tag of !80 EUROS! i saw floating around online. I love the pixlings for their super pretty faces and fantasy theme and would have been all over these taller versions if the dolls had been available without the gimmicks and weird talking box for like 30€ God i wish they would drop the reveal gimmick already
£60 is wildddd and most of it is for the packing, if more of the budget went to the doll i’d buy this immediately but unfortunately i’ll be waiting for a sale
OMGFNDKS THIS IS THE FUNNIEST UNBOXING I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE WAY I SCARED MY CAT CACKLING WHEN IT SAID “girl thats diarrhea” AND THE TACO BELL BUILDING CAME INTO VIEW SOSODISIJSS
She’s £70 in the UK, which works out to around $90!! Why the price difference in UK and US, and how on earth did they come up with this price in the first place?! Would love to get her but am not even nearly willing to pay even half that😅
The price difference is due to import cost and maybe stores here in Europe keep a higher margin on toys? The last I'm unsure of but it's definitely due to shipping and customs cost which sucks...
I got one of the regular Pixlings for $2 the other day because of reward points and Amazon Prime Deals. After opening it... you're really paying for the unboxing gimmick, which you only get to do one time. I guess I'll throw the potion bottle in the back of the closet with the MHSS lockers.
Moose toys sells the potions separately. So you can do it again if you are willing to pay for refills. (or you can just dump dish soap in I'm convinced the potion is just soap water with food coloring)
I suppose it’s real cool to have to unlock the doll. I never had to deal with this much interaction to get to my toy. I don’t think I have this much patience I would just mash the diamond to be done.
Unpopular opinion maybe but I liked the fact that they had smaller dolls, I think it was fitting for magical beings to be smaller like fairies. I hope they keep the small once coming as well if they will start doing big once too.
Thank you so much for doing this, I've been awfully curious about it. Love the doll and her color palette, I'm also hoping for ones without unboxing gimmicks!
Oh god, it’s 1 am and i can’t stop laughing. Between the taco bell and that crazy triple shot reaction reveal, I am dying. I would love to have these dolls but I hate the gimmick. I know I’m not the age they’re aiming for, but it seems like such a waste of plastic
We just got her tonight here at Christchurch NZ! We were so surprised how NZ actually has a new doll IN STOCK lol. Also due to shipping + import tax for companies (I guess), she's actually NZ $150 here ... which Google says is USD $89.36 I've actually pressed down the moon charm thingy to stay on the button at the top hehe I'm sooo happy there's actually a big version now! I always wished the Pixlings were bigger lol. I had to search up if there were more of the Pixie Supremes but for now I prefer Luna over Skylar. And we were also surprised at the doll reveal LOL what an experience
The doll is amazing and I want her so bad, but I won't ever get her because of the gimmick/price. Saying that, as a kid I would LOVE that mirror and would have so much fun with it (okay we didn't have smartphones so maybe now it is not so exciting). Every time she said touch the diamond I wanted to bang my head on that mirror tho ))))
Yeah, I am not sure about this. I like the doll. The mirror is extremely obnoxious. If I do get her, maybe as a clearance sale, the mirror will definitely be listed on mercari or going to a local thrift store. I feel like it will become the new furbee nightmare.
I think the doll is lovely but the massive amounts of plastic the original Pixlings came with kind of put me off them and unfortunately this doll is even worse for that. I know they're kids toys and kids probably love this stuff so I shouldn't complain, but at the same time a variant for collectors that doesn't come with all that extra landfill would be nice
OMG THE REVEAL WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR👀 THE EDITING IN THIS HAD ME ON THE FLOOOOR😭💀 But she's actually sooooo cute I'm glad I bullied you into buying her agshdjfk
Too much money for this hunk of plastic that'll end up in land fill. The doll is cute, the dress is crappy and it's certainly not worth what they're charging. Who is actually buying this for their children? Moose toys is unhinged.
girl why are you trapped in there?, something isn’t feeling right, is she the villain- head canon moment Imao anyways this do be a little spooky Yeah curious to see what’s next
The doll is so cute but that mirror is annoying as hell and then all the confetti? I feel sorry to any parent who’s going to be buying this for their kids 😂
I would have enjoyed this as a kid. It's very reminiscent of g3 mlp toy sets and those talking diaries. I also can't fault this for being a magic mirror and doll playset. This by far isn't the first time a playset has come with an exclusive doll. I think if this had been advertised as magic mirror playset + exclusive doll people wouldn't be so annoyed by it. I can't see myself getting it for myself though. Also something to note, I expected the quality of that dress to be way way worse. The box art made it look really cheap. like Barbie dreamtopia level of bad. I'm pleasantly surprised.
The less grainy pixilation could also be due to continuous advancements in DIJ. If they bought the newest DIJ machine, this makes sense, as they keep getting better and better every year. (Btw, you cannot just update software on a preexisting DIJ machine to get higher quality faces, you need a new machine. Each machine only has one "setting".)
If they ever sell the doll individually I'll think about it, but the quality of the one pixling I own is a bit cheap for the price I paid, and I think that's pretty much caused by the mystery box expensive uncharge. Like I'd feel different if the small ones were $9.99 and if this doll was like $20.
Ok I was interested in the doll unboxing. But the 2nd potions stopped me like a brick wall to face. I just can't breath with the pop up text then the picture add on. After that it was fun that you can reset over and over.
My granddaughter and I are all about the pixies world we are currently playing hide n seek with our pixie dolls granted we don't have the mirror ones yet,but we have an area in our house with my couldren, and both of our crystal balls,I like to get stuf so her and I can do potions amd crystal balls all the time or when I want to Give her surprises
I need to know what the "mirror" is made out of, is it straight up a touch screen? The price definitely pays for the weird screen. Could the screen and software be messed with? Could you mess with it and add in your own voice overs ? Like could you make one of the fortune answers be "Not likely b*tch" ? I'm so intrigued
My completely uneducated guess is it's a bit like copper foil touch sensors found in furreal friends and other moose bots like squeakie. I highly doubt its a "real" touch screen despite the price and j bet the software is limited to a couple of dumb boards
i want to see the box?playset? deconstructed so bad. if i found it at the thrift store i would probably get it just bc im curious. the moon lady has got to go though
Making a chaser on a 60$ doll is insane 🤣 She's cute, but overpriced af - also I don't care for the unboxing gimmic. So much plastic waste blowing up the retail price
