I was there in the 80's and early 90's (Before the takeover) and people of Hong Kong enjoyed a fairly free and decent lifestyle...Obviously, just like any other huge city, you have districts that are bad and house the less fortunate and there was a struggle, just like it is anywhere else. I never lived there, so I can't say for sure, but most of the people I talked to there seemed to be doing ok. Since the takeover I read that things have plummeted quite a bit and they are no longer free like they were. Which sucks.

As a British Cantonese, with long roots in HK. I find these videos very disgusting actually... and borderline atrocious as well. So yeh... after 13 years of not being there. I bought it. And then she even said that she could burn it for me. I didn't trust such services... and in the end, I gave it back to her to burn in my wishes. (In that moment... my heart sank a lot.. really heavily. Why? Cos I know that she would reuse those items again and actually not even burn the incense for me. I know that is what she would do ? Cos I could see that she scribbled the top notes only which means that it would leave the other stack left over.) Something like this.. a simple thing.. becomes an actual corruption now. Now I am starting to get why the riots.. and what else has been happening.

Considering you had to hire a helicopter to make these kind of shots in the past they actually really are not. EDIT: Looking at the description the entire drone rig they used hovers right around $10.000. That's really cheap considering you get these kind of shots out of them.

A child's toy would be a racing drone with a gopro and even so I'm not so sure about that, as you can get shots from a racing quad, any other drone can't. It's like comparing cars. There are 4.000.000$ cars and $2.000. Both are in the end, cars and not a child's toy.
