This is a great thing! The fact that they're giving a new player SOMETHING to start off with is a good thing. It's it perfect? No. But Wotc couldn't even fathom and Daybreak has, so kudos to them and I look forward to seeing other improvements to the platform.

Just setup a new account and got the decks. Looks like they updated the modern infect and removed the mistake. Either they caught it as well or Wotc watching your vids! Either way thanks for the vid!

I think the Lorien Revealed thing might be because of their ability to sell the individual cards from UB like with the Fallout Commander cards

The instant collection has a playset of blighted agent which were probably left out of infect for the sake of the monocolour theme.

They did burn dirty for legacy. What the heck?!? Also, hard agree that inkmoth needed to be there for infect. Why not give us something like izzet prowess, or regular burn? Something easy and most newbs learn first.

Other than the infect deck having 3 uncastable cards in the sideboard, I actually think it's a good thing the decks aren't perfect. Sure, it's dumb that legacy burn has 1 lightning bolt, but the decks not being perfect versions of themselves lets new players learn what's good and what isn't. The commander workshop list has some bangers in it. Cyclonic rift, Valakut, coffers. And some inclusions that I love, Castle lands, Zendikar Creature lands. I love that the Nephilem are all in there.

I agree but I also disagree. These are meant for new players, and if new players don't get the proper experience they could very easily feel misled by the decks (like the blue pauper deck having a worse lorien revealed feeling worse than the actual card) which could lead to disinterest in the formats or the game as a whole. I do think this is a very big step for Wotc to make towards helping new players though and I do like it.

ANY red deck not running 4 lightning bolt goes against basic deck building. Legacy and NOT running chain lightning is insane

I get that they cut Lorien Revealed in Pauper - it's an in-demand card but they probably should've done it all the way and replaced it with two lands and two functionnally different cards like counters or whatnot

Ya, Inkmoth Nexus' 1s and 0s cost too much money compared to a Forest's 1s and 0s. I see no Ws here. They're a business designed to make money, not give away free shit. The pre-cons look like pre-cons. You get excited hearing "Legacy Pre-Con" then see it's mono red burn... like of course it is... To top it off they're not even real cards. IDK man... I just see digital card games as a scam when paper exists.

Pls don't let them do that most value from collections would be gone that way. Lands aren't even that expensive on mtgo. Volcanic Island is like only 15 tickets

@@akorthouwer maybe more on arena as they are cards are not tied to any value. Just think it puts people off playing as the amount you have to invest in the mana base. Or they could be generous with each set release give one copy of each card. Something anyway to fix the economy of the online versions of the game to get and retain players.

I didn't think I'd hear someone say "great Legacy burn spell like flame rift" lmao I play it in Modern it's the most feel-bad spell I've ever cast
