@@grntitan1 There is NO problem. This is from Google Search. When it comes to stainless steel (301, 304 and 310) and brass, they are only two metals apart, which means they can be safely connected together with minimal risk of galvanic corrosion. Hope this helps. Regards from Australia.

Great idea, I never thought of using one of those tapered springs. I’m not sure where you got them.

@@mrpete222 I just picked through the options at my local Ace hardware store and bought several that seemed promising. The one I used measures 1/2" OD on the large end, 5/16" OD on the small end, About 11/16" long uncompressed, and is made with 0.032" wire. It will compress to about 0.065". The closest I can find on McMaster Carr are, 1692K938, 1692K25, and 1692K24. But they are all a bit different. I find it's hard to buy springs online if you don't know exactly what you want. They are hard to visualize especially spring rate and max force.

If you are referring to the R8 arbor for annular cutters, yes. I received it. Thank you very very much. I really wanted one of those. It is already shown in my next this and that video to be published in a few days. Then, yesterday I showed this in yet another video, where I made an arbor with a number three Morse taper. This arbor is meant to hold the annual or cutters in a Lathe tail stock. That video also shows your r8 arbor.
