Regarding the L&L audience "concern": I asked Michael about this one time and I can't say I remember his response word-for-word but what I remember is how passionate and joyful he was when speaking about those tapings. Michael is just a real great guy to be around. He is gracious with his time, always taking a moment to talk with you or take a picture or whatever. In my opinion, this series should be "required reading" so to speak. I cut my magic teeth on the first 3 volumes years ago, and it changed my life and helped to develop me into the performer that I am today.

Great review David. I am still doing some of the routines I learned from the old VHS Easy to Master Series. You know what they say in magic, "What's old is new again". Michael is a wonderful teacher. I've met him a number of times at conventions and lectures, and he is the nicest person you would ever want to meet.

I had the pleasure of attending a lecture through ibm years ago with Michael and in person in an intimate setting he is one amazing guy . These videos are well worth the watch and still in my collection today .

So glad that you cover this stuff and give the weight it deserves. I fear that some see the words "easy to master" and they 'check out'. But I firmly feel that the important words are "...master card miracles". That’s what you get with this stuff.

As an 'aside', it seems economical to, perhaps, take a small crew out to record a few contemporary performances to interlace with the old footage. I think that would help sell to new magicians that cannot quite envision this material in their repertoire. Obviously, time is money and it makes no sense at all to reshoot the project... but a few additional perspectives and demos might go a long way for these re-release projects.

First gig in February (free for a charity) and first paid gig booked for June. Have to say I’ve never found the difficult stuff any more impressive than the easy stuff. For the time I can put into one trick I can learn 10 tricks. Ammar is a legend.
