Incredible effect. Bought it on day release and have been frying colleagues at work with it since. The extra “thing” makes it so much more manageable and effective. In my EDC. I LOVE IT 😊
Pen & Teller just did a version of this on their show where Pen took a block of wood and drilled a hole into it, ran a robe through and while the ends of the rope were being held, pulled the block off the rope!
There are other online retailers that carry TCC products, that will ship within the U.S.! They don't carry their entire line, but you can find a good number of their popular items!
@@magicorthodoxyI just got this being delivered this week your terrible for my wallet but amazing for reviews thank you so much can't wait to perform this
Bob McCallister had a shoelace effect in the early 90's that utilizes the same principle I always thought it was cool he came up with the idea. He updated it. When seeing this I knew it was the same "process". After receiving this you will enjoy quality and materials used. A really great effect. Honestly this is the best version of this effect out there. Utilizing clear beads enhances the effect.
Fantasma Magic used the same method in Ring Escape. They included two shoe laces for the lace through spectator’s hand or through neck. As well as the ring on and off the string. I’m glad you like this, mine has been stuck in NY for the past week and I cannot wait to get it and have fun with it.
I bought this last week after seeing the release. Love the aesthetics of the TCC version as opposed to the wooden colored beads used in most other sets. The velvet looking ropes (I'm guessing) should hide the funny business which allows for the use of clear beads. Love the thinking behind the materials on this release! Thanks for the great reviews David! Keep up the great work.
Great review, David! I've been eyeing this effect for a while. I'm OBSSESSED with TCC products! In fact, I just received TCC's The Blade yesterday! Any plans on reviewing that one? 🙃
@@magicorthodoxy I finally received this and did it for a family member last night... Brain Freeze🥴 I showed them Wormhole by bigblindmedia, great trick ordered after your review. Hopping halves by Roy kueppers ending in a quiver, fantastic effect, and did Grandma's Miracle. They loved all the tricks but wanted to know how Grandma's miracle was done over the others. Of course I don't reveal Grandma's secrets. Thanks for the review on this David you were spot on.
I agree totally, I have always loved this trick! Have my original set of Hindu Beads that has always been one of my favorites. This one being able to be set up in front of the audience members just makes it that much more of a miracle for them. I immediately did this for myself and was just as enthralled as the first time that I performed my old wooden hindu beads....
Thank you David for all that you do on your channel!! I love watching your videos, and you are truly a blessing to the world of magic!! You have made it so helpful for me on my purchase decisions. You also have a very contagious personality!! I love it!!…Best Wishes my friend 😊
@@magicorthodoxy If the cords are gimmicked and therefore unexaminable (at least the extent that standard grandmas necklace is) then this effect is far far worse. Akin to buying the T-1000 over just learning crazy man's handcuffs.
@@coryburns4309 perhaps. You and I may know two separate routines. I learned the necklace effect from Royal Magic Odd Ball and you have to "preset" it before - it cant be examined beforehand
I’m sold on this trick. But, do you know of any interesting presentations or patter for this routine? I’d like some inspiration. I prefer having a interesting story behind my items. Thanx.
Just received mine yesterday! I've been performing Dean Dill's Nana's Necklace for many years and jumped at the chance to get this version of it. I love the ropes, especially with the taped ends - makes it so much easier to thread through. Visually it is stunning as the spectator can see "everything". While I love the colored wooden beads I've been using (I tell a story about love and being burdened chained down but then if it true actual love, we can be set free). I'll have to work on coming up with a unique presentation with this version. ~ Jojhn (Blind Eye Magi)
Just recently received this myself. TCC is producing such quality tricks right now. I love how good these ropes look in the clear beads. The beads make this look so incredibly clean. Thanks for all of the reviews, David! It's a big help for the community!
