Even after knowing these tricks, I still enjoy watching them be done flawlessly by these guys. How could we not appreciate the engineering and cleverness of these illusions. We know there are tricks involved.. Doesn't take away from the fun even after it's revealed. I enjoy watching others reactions who don't know how it's done. Relax magicians. This only adds to the fun.
This was what? Late 90s early 00s? You gotta remember, at this time there was “The Man Show” with girls jumping on trampoline, underwear matches to see the girls “Puppies” on WWF, not to mention no social justice and no 9/11 yet I don’t believe. Life was great!
In some tricks the magician doesn't perform the trick the 'assistants' perform the trick and the magician provides misdirection. In other tricks the magician is responsible for the trick and the assistants perform misdirection. In many tricks the magician is partly responsible for the trick plus performs some misdirection while the assistants are partly responsible for the trick plus perform some misdirection. These variations make it hard to guess how the tricks are done as each one varies the formula.
I always enjoy a behind the scenes, in fact I love seeing how these tricks are done, it’s like seeing how people do certain scenes in movies and television.
@@LionmaneElsie08 It's all good, I don't want to come across as "pervy" or anything but supple is usually used to describe...a certain pair of female anatomy, lol. As I'm sure you're probably aware...and that's why I was wondering at first. But it makes total sense that you simply mis-typed what u actually meant to say.
@@AWGragg007 I just googled it and I was actually right with the meaning supple /ˈsʌp(ə)l/ Learn to pronounce adjective bending and moving easily and gracefully; flexible. "her supple fingers” 👍🏻😊
@@LionmaneElsie08 Oh? Well alright then, I guess u got me there...I still like my way of using the word better though. 😉 I think just hearing that word "supple"...brings to mind something different to us guys.🤷♂️ Maybe ask a couple others, they may agree... or at least know what I mean.
idk if this is only me, but when I was scared this used too scare the living thing outta me> the magicians mask, the badly lit place they're usually in, everything lol. Now im 16 and I just wanted a hit of nostalgia. I've come back here to watch and actually enjoy this show
I'm surprised that stood out, he only sexualy references the females once every 10 seconds...how did you end up catching on? 🤔 Obviously I'm being sarcastic, the script they wrote for the narrarator was utterly ridiculous and super pervy. I mean unless he was speaking to describe the show for the blind...lol, we could all see for ourselves that the girls were hot. Didn't need a cringey reminder every 10 seconds or so.
+Mukine There's still a few magic tricks I would specifically liek to see the reveal behind... But I get so mad watching these, knowing I'll feel fucked over hard..XD Furthermore, I have no chance of knowing if these tricks are even UNCOVERED, in this series.... :/
@@nathandelarosa943 house arrest sucked in the late 90s early 2000s. I had nothing better to do but watch cartoon network and then the garbage that wasn't cartoon network lol. But I have to say that house arrest was a lot better than going to jail. I feel for you buddy but just be glad that the judge had some kind of leniency instead of throwing you in jail. I hope you have a better time than I did.
I used to watch this show when it was on the telly all those years ago now I watch it here and my memory is pretty shot so I see a reveal and forget how it's done 5 mins later! So these episodes are an all new experience for me!
@@mehganmiah well, that’s kind of how the trick works. It is a bad trick because of what I mentioned. It seems like you’ve just learned a new phrase and are determined to use it on everyone.
With the knife trick, you can see the knife grow longer when it’s “cutting into his arm” and then shrink to its normal size when pulled away, I wonder how many people caught that when watching this on tv. Also anyone noticed that the beer, is a root beer can 😂
Imagine the horror of the pump getting turned back on while you’re still replacing the gasket. Although I guess she could just go faster and stop the flow, but still.
That's what the air pipe is for. They'd have timed how long it takes her to go through, plus some margin of error. Besides that, the top of the drum definitely would pop out if she pushed it. But, obviously she'd still try and finish the trick.
Used to love this back when it was first on. There's some very cheeky editing involved when they initally show some of the tricks though, watch 40:13 - 40:40 then go back to 37:07 to see what I mean.
Yes! I accidentally paused at about 1:24 (and about a half) and figured out why she switched sides during the filming of the trick😂. Edit: this apparently only works on the big screen TV. I just tried it on the phone and it is not so obvious😐
Houdini himself wrote a book detailing how he used to escape the straitjackets and handcuffs, with his flexibility and some neat tricks. The tension was in the timing, as many commentators wrote ("can he escape before he drowns?").
In the first act, I was more amazed that the barrel was full of water after a person was in and spilled out of the barrel than women escaping and appearing in the second barrel.
"The assistant isn't in on the trick" She writes mom and guess what, you can see a lot of "moms" written on the chalkboard that were erased Not that it means that the trick isn't cool
This is one of a few shows (or docs. ) that we could enjoy watching its entirety without being interrupted its continuity by those annoying ads. In addition, the disclosure of those magic secret codes has been considered as a taboo, & yet you are valiant & intrepid enough to reveal them for us. For that generosity of yours, we do appreciate & admire you to the fullest at the opulent comfort of our home. My heartfelt gratitude for that,,,,(11/02/23)
I'm pleasantly surprised w/ your generosity to unfold those tricks considered as a taboo one after another. So I can't help doffing my hat to all the people in the production of this magic show. In addition to the magician & his assistants, the ingenuity of the people behind the show is simply amazing, astounding, & stupendous. They certainly deserve a huge pat on the back for a job exceptionally well done. Thanks to them all, I'm enjoying, admiring, & appreciating it to the core at the comfort of my home. (11/01/23)
At 16:14 you can see the secret panel in the pedestal pop open a second or two too early (it even seems to make a little noise). I noticed that the first time watching it and realized that she must be in there somehow.
i knew something was going on with the water because when she gets in theres water gone but when they open it the water is full so even though they filled it up it messes it up because they shouldnt have filled it all they way up they should have left the same amount of water there was in there when she got in
I also knew that she had breathing space long before the 2nd drum was put into place. When the magician takes time gesturing, it is to give time for the assistant to perform the stunt. He never does during times when they are in serious danger.
