I forgot to tell you I asked a question earlier, about weight 5 for the magic square potholder. I am having trouble making it comes out square. I have been chaining 25. But it doesn't come out square. My friends and family prefer the weight 5 yarn potholder. Can you help me figure out how many chains to make it square. If I go any longer chain it is too large. so do we keep adding 3 stitches in that middle stitch of the first end in every row. you went to folding before i saw if that was the case.

no just on that first row to enable the potholder to work up in the round the 3 sts at each end are just create the corner to let your work start working upwards easily
