Magic the Gambling | Mr. House, President and CEO, EDH Deck

I'm dedicated to chance and not skill, if I wasn't why would I wake up every day wanting to play Magic. For this deck, you'll wanna bet on black or red (since white isn't an option at roulette). Also, I can't believe I didn't make a Dr House reference.

Keep these themed decks goin! I just sent this one to a buddy who has been going on and on about making a gambling deck so this is perfect

Hellkite tyrant would be a Solid include the new white God is good , but I would still stick with mondrak or anointed procession over her just for a simple fact that those two Also double your treasures and more Mana efficient. I would also suggest legion's loyalty over cyberman squadron. That way you can double up on the ancient dragon triggers as well

Hellkite tyrant is definitely a great include! And I’d totally run Monny-D or Anointed to just go absolutely crazy with robots and treasure! Legion loyalty also goes so hard I didn’t know about it back when i made the deck but I’d add it now! Thanks a bunch for the insightful comment! -Q&G

I think mr house sees both dice rolls on cards that give more than one and say ignore the other. Wyll for example says ignore the lower. But mr house says no such thing- his effect says WHENEVER you roll a dice.

I believe the rules on re rolls are that the roll that is replaced is treated as if it didn’t happen. So even though you do roll two dice , the game only sees 1. Bit unfortunate

@QuipsAndGuac that really does suck :( would be so cool to have advantage and keep it. I suppose he would be a little *too* strong if you had a built in semi anointed procession built in I guess

Ive been playtesting my version of mr house and rolling 1 d6 a turn isnt great value especially for 4 mana and his loyalty abilities are only ok for this deck but i say screw it run the good boy anyway and just hit 6 every roll or its a skill issue

I was trying to find something but I didn’t find anything and I understand that it would only ignores the lowest result in the case of Mr. House ability where u would roll 6 d6 ( but that felt a little broken hahaha)

I also thought it would mega busted but just to double check I looked through the wiki on dice rolling in general and sadly found the rules

706.6. If a player is instructed to ignore a roll, that roll is considered to have never happened. No abilities trigger because of the ignored roll, and no effects apply to that roll. If that player was instructed to ignore the lowest roll and multiple results are tied for the lowest, the player chooses one of those rolls to be ignored.
