you left out a step. when you auto scan it has to be plugged into computer. I had to watch it three or four times before i figured it out i was getting ready to send the scanner back. Anyway good video, i hate videos where people talk and talk and don't get to the point. I learned just what I wanted to know. Thanks.

Hi LaVana, thanks for choosing our product. If you scan with the docking station, then you need to plug it into a power outlet or your computer, it is because the docking station does not have power. If you're scanning as a handheld portable scanner, you don't need to plug it to outlet or computer.

How do you organize your receipts & documents after they have been scanned?

If I may answer: I keep my photos in folders, then transfer them to a flash drive. I am scanning photos that were taken since the 1950's and naming a folder for each of several family members. When I'm gone, they will have all the family pictures, etc. and if the "hard copies" are discarded or taken by one person, each of my sons and grandchildren will have his or her own folder.

how well does it handle scetches or drawings ? I suspect that the fact it's pencil or paint or ink could be of some trouble for the scanner, but could you tell me if you know any portable scanner that's fit for it or a way to scan my art without damaging the machine or the arts quality?

+VuPoint Solutions yes its a waste of money and time it also is false when its says how high the resolution of the scanning device is everyone on here is better off just grabbing a real scanner and this scanner is not good for everything its only good for documents that's about it and if I had a bad experience. I think people have the right to know cause now these days you people are so full of yourselves because you want to sell a product without telling the truth on the specks on an item.

Kay Derr OK that's great for you but the issue is that its not all true and to top it off the scanning process is a waste of time would you rather just buy a real scanner with 1020 dpi or go thru all the crap that the scanner has to offer like that ridicules docking station?

You can use it as a portable handheld scanner, it gives you 300DPI for low resolutions, 600DPI for medium resolutions and 900DPI for high resolutions. When you use it with the docking station, the high resolution will change to 1200DPI. Press the "DPI" button on the Magic Wand to switch to the resolution you wish to scan. The auto-feed docking station is for scanning paper document, photos, prints or paper. The handheld portable scanner can able to scan books, tiles, carpets, textile, posters and more. I am not able to take a judgement between scanned images and actual images as you havent taken screenshot rather than captured video. It showcased blueness in all the scanned images. Can you help me to take a call in color variation of a actual image vs scanned image. I will going to use this scanner for tile scanning.

my autofeed didn't work as soon as I got it. So I had to just scan by hand

I've had a few things resist auto scan, but if you try again it should grab. You can also turn the photo or document on different sides and see how it goes. It works for me every time.
