Look bro this absolutely no critique to your dress and i am in no way trying to be sexist, but as guy who watched transformers as a kid i think it would look so cool if you could make the switch a little quicker or in one smooth motion. That would just give magical Princess transformer vibes. I really hope i didnt come across as trying to intrude here that was just my first thought😅
@@ninjasheeps3690 …Ignoring your request that doesn’t really work with this kind of fabric… why on earth would that be sexist? In any way? Starting any sentence with “I am in no way trying to be sexist” does not give most people much confidence in your following words.
@@rachel705 i just felt like being a guy with zero fashion design experience telling a (i assume) professional fashion designer what they could change on their dress feels like mansplaining without enough clarification.
The last laugh she did says how proud she feels , seeing her efforts were fruitful .. Love it.. We all need passion in our lives and love for our dreams.. I was really feeling like an empty shell
Ya I was really surprised by the price. That's 2 full paychecks for me. I love the concept because my work has a dress code and you can style it in so many ways. So I think I'll sew something similar instead! I've been looking for something just like this but didn't know where to start😌

Bro thats absolutey insane. And like, who is she? Like 48.?k subs on YT is nothing & she doesnt even make aspiring designer content. Lokey is it that price cuz thats how much someone would have to pay her in order to make them one and doesnt want to make a bunch all over
I mean for her theres not much to see through but i agree with the price being too much it should at max cost 150 (idk abt dresses cuz i am a dude tho so)
It's probably hand made tho, correct me if I'm wrong. Designs, even if they may appear simple to us, can be a MESS. it's actually crazy how much thought you have to put behind an original idea/project, things like this probably existed already, but the silhouette, texture/materials and aesthetic play a big part. My guess is it's hand made with good materials
@@Abilyfaesit’s not complicated to make though. i went on the website and the dress is 100% cotton and the ribbons are 100% silk. the see through aspect of the dress is intentional it seems. considering the dress isn’t made from any fancy materials and it’s not difficult to make it is not worth 1195 dollars. but good for her i guess. i’m sure someone’s buying it if she even felt comfortable pricing it that high.
Yeah but go buy some " luxury designed (is not luxury and is not from a "designer" ) so everyoone loves luxury brands but they cant live with the fact that "luxury" brands are the new fast fashion. THIS DRESS WORTH THAT PRICE AND HONESTLY SHOULD BE MORE EXPENSIVE 'CAUSE OUT THERE IT AINT ANYTHIN LIKE THAT.
These influencers are so out of reality. $1,200 for a dress lmao. They act as if they are god. And god wouldn’t even charge that. He’d probably give it for free and say “be well my child” lol.
@@blueeyedbatman idk who’s gonna tell her she’s simply not making it high in the fashion world if it’s 1200 no one’s buying that so no one’s getting her item which means her design is forgotten unfortunate for something so pretty
It’s basically an edwardian “princess slip” a combined petticoat and corset cover (bodice) worn under sheer dresses so you wouldn’t show something scandalous, like a corset. Just made it strapless Sorry to dampen the fun but it’s not doing anything innovative, the lace trimming had ribbon running through it for decorative purposes (but if you bought this in 1909 and suddenly became very poor by 1912 ish you could reuse this old thing by drawing the ribbons tightly so it would fit in the dramatically slimmer “hobble skirt” dresses extending its wearable life, not needing to purchase a new combination (combinations are a term used for a combine corset cover and drawers, think spanx with a pee hole but like comfortable and practical or combined corset cover and petticoat aka underdress, its so you wouldn’t have like 4 ish separate waistbands all stacked up on your waistline which you wanted to look smaller back then by making the bust and hips fluffier and padded out, victorian visual illusions baby)) If it’s handmade using high quality lace and all natural fibers then it’s worth the price! If its just drop shipped and mass produced with cheap materials then heck no get the polyester garbage bag out of here
@@hadzeraduharkic9932 Even if I were to make it myself it wouldn't cost that much. Also, there is no justification for the price being so high, it's not like the dress is made of gold. No need for the personal attacks, I'm just stating my opinion.
@hadzeraduharkic9932 You getting offended for what exactly? Majority of society cannot afford to spend over a thousand dollars on one piece of clothing 🙄🙄🙄
Not only that, this person has a documented history of scamming customers. Just under two years ago she was selling the same “handmade” stuff on her shop that turned out to be things she bought from sometimes regular stores but exorbitantly marked up. I don’t know if she’s legit now, or even the full truth of the matter. Given that no one in the comments seems aware. But I would be very weary. If it seems like it’s too expensive it’s likely because it is. These types of “scams” are often there to target the small minority who would in fact pay that price because it’s an easy payday.
The material alone probably cost her $100 That design is complicated $$ Time. Let’s say it took 10 hrs 10 hrs x $50 = $500 Materials + labor + skill + following = $1195
@@The_Real_Casey_Timminsthe material was definitely not 100$ it's like 20-30$ max The design is so basic. No way it took her 10 hours as she resells stuff- this is clearly store bought even if it was not it would probably take 3-5 hours max. So girl stop yapping
@@momo8563 it’s not about making it myself, I can appreciate a persons art work as long as they don’t price gouge their customers… you can like her work that’s fine but don’t act like this isn’t what’s happening because you’re a fan of hers or like her.
@@isaisa7306not kinda it's super see through and too short. She seems to be short which is why the dress looks just about okay on her in terms of size
@samuraijosh1595 yea I'm a tall curvier girl so I just would not trust the dress to cover me especially with how sheer it is and for that price tag it's an absolutely not😭
I thought it was hideous with the strings hanging, very cheap cloth material, I mean she really just made a dress with bands similar to pajama pants where you can tighten or loosen them
And tell me you guys noticed that its see through 😭 It isnt that much of a problem since ig its a trend to see undergarments but for $1,000+ I would like non see through material 😞
clothing like this could seriously contribute to us consuming less clothes! it’d be cool if multipurpose clothes like this would be the norm in the future, so we can still do many different outfits but with few pieces🙏
If you throw away you clothes before they are threadbare then making it multipurpose isnt going to help you. Some people get the most out of stuff, some people get the most stuff
@dylansullivan569 this isn't intended for people who conserve their clothing or make the most of it... it'd be for people that throw out clothing or fast fashion pieces of clothing that are "out of style" or dont fit in their closets. it might seem ridiculous but theres a reason that cheap clothing/mixed fabrics are one of the biggest pollutants to date
@@unreghypercam2 i feel like the kind of people in question would still spend money on more dresses that are still in fashion, trends come and go by very quickly nowadays And according to the last sentence of the op, I feel like they aren’t referring to the population that you mentioned “we can still do many outfits with few pieces”, seems like they’re intending to consume less clothes but also be able to try out different styles using one piece, which wouldn’t really connect if the people in question aren’t the one to conserve clothing or to make the most out of it
This is actually so needed, amount of times I’m out and wish I wore something longer or wish I dressed up a lil more… why aren’t 90% of dresses like this
@@notcosteffective9920 guess I’m glad they taught us to tie bows in year one? Could be cute buttons/click in.. shorter string…double zips…. Doesn’t just have to be string… please never apply for a job that requires solution orientation
@@NaatClark I actually do make clothing lol. But I usually give it away to people I care about. Not AT ALL saying she should give these away, but she's pricing them like she's already been featured in fashion magazines, or is some big brand name. If she wants to justify the price she's charging, she needs to use better material at the VERY least. This is see through and resembles Victorian era undergarments. Also, "hand sewn" isn't nearly as time consuming as people seem to think. Hand STITCHED like the cross stitch blanket i made last year - now that takes TIME. It took me over 1000 hours to get that thing done, but its the biggest and most intricate one I've done yet.
@@NaatClark But if you were looking for an actual suggestion - go to your local fabric store or craft store that sells fabric. Ask someone there [usually the longer they've worked there the better] if they know anyone who would be willing to make a similar dress for less. They will always know people who sew as a hobby and almost always know someone who is willing to craft for cash, or even just help you out with a project for the fun of it. I'd also be willing to bet there's some social media pages dedicated to people who sew as well.
for those who sew, you can make it two different tiers so it can unfold into both midi and maxi. maybe its also convenient to add loops for every tier.
Idk how this isn’t viral, not only is the dress practical but the design is really cute too 🩷🌸 Edit: I didn’t think my opinion on a dress could bring so much hate 🩷 also I was talking about the video itself being viral, not the dress, it is overpriced. And if this is what your mom wears to bed she has great taste 🩷🌸
For one because this shape will be received *horrendous* on anyone who isn't skinny or even on people that are skinny but have a bigger tummy or anything like that. Also those lengths aren't flattering on anyone but tall, skinny people. Like, it's a beautiful dress for anyone that has the creators body type and will not fit well on anyone that doesn't.
That's actually so pretty I like it. I'm always looking for a dress just like both of those no joke that hug the body better especially for the longer part. I love the short so much 😊
Lowkey lit. I sometimes wonder what my style would translate to if I was born the opposite gender. This would definitely be a part of it. Modest and sleek, with the ability to pair with other articles of clothing. You're an artist.
