The adventure continues.. and for the final time this season! This time we’re back at Wembley Stadium for the Finalissima 2022! The Euro 2020 Champions Italy take on the Copa America Winners Argentina!
Wembley was full and ready for this anticipated game! The game started well for Italy with Barella being positive in the midfield creating an early chance for Berlotti.
Di Maria would look very dangerous on the right for Argentina however it would be Magical Messi who skinned Emerson to Set up Martinez to give Argentina the lead!
Argentina would mess countless chances and be denied by Donnarumma. Romero also made an unreal interception as Balotti was denied a certain goal from 3 yards out!
Di Maria would chip the ball past Donnarumma to secure the second before half time. Messi would continue his magic tricks in the second half and dance through the Italy defence multiple times!
He would then set up Sub Dybala to grab the third in added time!
Messi would lift the trophy after a player of the match performance. To win his second international trophy!
