1/10.. anyone with 2 brain cells would’ve understood that code. An actual code would’ve been not using any words that exactly match. This is why it takes them a second sometimes to catch on… like for instance they’d never say “magnetic” they say “this trick is going to stick with us for a long time unless we pull the memory out of our heads really hard.” He’d say it better but that’s the general way he does it. It’s only enough words so that when they think of the similarities they can go “ahhhh okay yeah he knows I used magnets”..

"you were not lying about a mug swap" Even if he wanted to lie about there being a swap or not, he can't. Amazing how the whole trick revolves around a gimmicked rope, but in the end the mug being the star of the show really clicked. ;) Beautiful.

This felt like they knew what the trick was and played into the act and the code at the end. Gimmick, by the move needed to drop it off, especially since he used rings before, but the whole act was so good, so fun and clean, guy deserved that trophy. Great tribute act. ❤

So good! "I'm going to show you how a magic trick works". I love that you literally did, its so clever. Both of the two pervious mug on rope sections of the act weren't just there for entertainment but actually "show you how the magic trick works". Wow I'm mind blown.

Very entertaining. I love to speculate and guess how a trick is done. Overall when it comes to magic I don't necessarily want to know how it's done but sometimes it's even more impressing when you understand how clever it was to come up with the idea or how much work and practice it takes to pull it off.

Great to finally see an original and clever presentation on this show. So many of the acts are routine with boring setups and uninteresting patter.

You need to imagine that the mug is not threaded, then the mug will no longer be threaded. That's how they do this trick in the matrix. I love your presentation! 😆

yes I see. he rotates the cup when he puts it under the rag, so the handle is down, and he puts a magnetic handle on the cup which he threads the rope through. so the magnetic handle is on the top. under the rag, the cup is hanging hanldle UP, but when it drops out the handle is DOWN, and the magnetic handle which was UP is now in his hand, under the rag. simple but clever

I only watched it once and i am surprised you fooled them. As soon as you grabbed the cloth to block the view i was suspicious as to what else may be in it. But the way you palmed the handle made it even more clear to me. You definitely have a magnetic personality and you have a handle on things. I would guess the hardest part is to prevent noise of metal on magnet. Did you use something to soften the sound? Or was it just fine motor skills at work? Good performance none the less.

Oh my, it makes sense when you think about it, and yet this routine is so entertaining. And that is what counts even if the solution is mag(n)ically simple. Great trick

I got it on the second viewing. You did a good job hiding the move needed to make it work. This was a lot riskier to do with two non-stooges on stage with you. Great trick. I like that it ends clean and everything can be inspected. Also appreciated the Slydini nod of involving the audience in the earlier two tricks.

@berninimagic This is 1 of 4 tricks on this show I couldn't figure out. The fact that you are able to drop the rope at the end is what amazes me. And your hand appears to be doing nothing but grabbing the handle... I'm truly puzzled. They even showed close ups on your hands... Well done! I don't get to be surprised often... This was great!

@@austingeorge6659 I get fooled all the time, but this one was easy to figure out. There was one gimmick (likely magnetic) handle that he attached to the mug, all while palming/ covering up the actual fixed handle. See 5:19. Then when he drops the mug at the end, the gimmick handle detaches (and stays hidden underneath the cloth) in his right hand. See 5:58.
@SoloPerICommenti
@SoloPerICommenti 3 месяца назад
look at where the handle is when it drops out of the cloth. There was a second handle that he added that stayed in the cloth. this one was rather easy to spot

but how is that even a fooler penn did say earpiece which would mean extra/detachable handle. but he said there were none
