Yes, this is all true magick, and he's got evil spirits doing the "tricks" for him for a price that is his soul. Without them he and others like him (Dynamo, Chris Angel, David Copperfield etc) could only perform simple card tricks that one can learn by practicing.

Demons have power over matter and he's yet another black magician along with Dynamo, David Blaine, Yif, Chris Angel etc. who calls upon evil spirits to do the work for him. These are not mere tricks or "illusions that require physical training" as he'd like people to believe. It's all real.

It's a pity that just two days ago in my country the most famous magician here, the mago pop, said in a main tv program, that all his Magic is not real. My mother called me later saying "you see? Magic is not real" (like, don't believe in those things), so this is the opinion let in the public. It's time to open people's minds, that Magic is real means at the end that they are free, which is an extraordinary powerful message, as you can manifest in your reality at your will among the infinite alternative universes, and even if you can't use this Power, just to know it as certain, make you free at some extent. Your Magic makes people smile perhaps for that reason, everything is possible during the show, they are again limitless beings in you, nothing spoils their Hapiness, what a wonderful feeling, specially when your real life is experiencing all the oposite (unfortunately, not rare).
