One of my favorite things about your channel is a reoccurring message of 'not everyone practices the same way so You Do You'! Thank you for the great content!
I like how the day names link to the planets/gods depending on the languages. In French: Monday = Lundi > Moon = Lune Tuesday = Mardi > Mars Wednesday = Mercredi > Mercure Thursday = Jeudi > Jupiter Friday = Vendredi > Venus The weekend days don't really work in French though :) Saturday = Samedi > Saturn Sunday = Dimanche > Sun Thank you so much for putting out so much content on your channel and so regularly! xx
The video was super interesting to know where the English words come from. Also I like your comment. In spanish is similar: Monday Lunes comes from Luna = Moon Tuesday Martes comes from Marte = Mars Wednesday Miercoles comes from Mercurio = Mercury Thursday Jueves comes from Jupiter Friday Viernes comes from Venus Saturday Sabado comes from Saturno = Saturn Sunday Domingo comes from Latin word Dominicus = Day of sun
this might sound weird but it is also the same cases in Korean & Japanese! English/Korean/Japanese Monday /월요일/月曜日= day of a moon star (moon) Tuesday /화요일/火曜日= day of a fire star (mars) Wednesday/ 수요일/水曜日= day of a water star (mercury) Thursday/목요일/木曜日= day of a wood star (Jupiter) Friday /금요일/金曜日= day of a gold star (venus) Saturday/토요일/土曜日= day of an earth star (Saturn) Sunday일요일/日曜日= day of sun star (sun) Was there like a standardized understanding among people back then on the name week? How does the naming of the days in the week be consistent across Korean, Japanese, French, Spanish, and English?
Its the same in Spanish. Monday= Lunes= moon Tuesday= Martes= mars Wednesday= Miercoles= mercury Thursday= Jueves= jupiter Friday= Viernes= venus Saturday= Sabado= saturn (also a resemblence to “sabbath”) Sunday= Domingo= sun (i think the “dom” is related to “dominant”)
@@강태빈-z5z Same for Japanese. Because you don’t even have to read it if you already know kanji/hanzi meaning. Just a quick glance at the first characters’ all it takes haha.
On Saturdays I do all my physical cleaning around the apartment, but I'm thinking of having black candles burning while doing so to help with the spiritual cleanse. Black candles bring me a feeling of peace and contentment. They really are powerful on their own.
I do mine on Mondays (element of water...mopping floors, scrubbing the bathroom, washing decorative items I can't dust, etc). I love the idea of using black candles as I go!
I spent last night planning one for tomorrow so I'm glad my research matched what you said ☺ I also love the idea of energizing on different days to bring different elements to a working. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks as always Hearth, I always look forward to your videos
I like using the days of the week, it helps me plan out my workings better. I got a bad habit of “spells on the fly”!! They work fantastically, but taking time to plan really helps to not only connect one to the actual working more strongly, it connects you to the Divine more.
Just really happy that u made the statements at the beginning about everyone's practise being different and if we have different ideas around the days of the week to use those
Have been SO happy following your wonderful channel you have truly helped me a lot in my path. I am the Melissa who Facebook messaged your Facebook page. Your entire effort in how you talk and deliver your information to the honesty you share over what you personally don’t like is really helpful and I have progressed a lot in my craft in last 2 months more than I have my whole life! Thankyou and love from Australia 🐨✨
i am new to the craft and i have been watching your videos. thanks for all the info. you helped me a lot. please do not get tired of posting these videos. you are an angel.
I love working with days. I made a honey jar for my partner and I charge it every Fridays by shaking it and once a month on a Friday I do light a candle with oils and herbs.❤️ It’s definitely worth playing around with it. I feel connected to the days of the week a lot. I feel more connected after watching this video. Love you hearth 🖤❤️
I think I have it. Go with yourself your feeling what's right for me. I want to thank you HearthWitch you've shown me a path. Something I have searched for a long time.
Hey there Hearth! Absolutely love your videos! I'm a newbie solitary witch and new momma. When my baby came out so did the pagan lol. I just wanted to let you know all your videos really speak to me and you are super helpful!!! Please keep on going girl! Love you and thank you. Blessed be sister.
Really interesting. I come from Germany and Wednesday is here traditionally for communication and knowledge, wisdom and education. Thursday is for money, business, jobs and abundance. Interesting that this is slightly different.
Thank you so much for this Hearth! I'm building my social media content around this. Even the color palette of the images based on the colors associated with that day.
Thank you for this HearthWitch that is what I do. And I mainly do my spell craft on a Sunday and I do mini rituals when I wake up early any other day. Sunday is a day I am home alone. Unless I get an extra day like Saturday and yesterday I was home alone to do a bigger ritual. I can't use many candles I use one candle till it burns down. And I snuff it out and kind of cleansed.
Monday to me is orange Tuesday brown n yellow Wednesdays blues gray lilacs and whisps of silver and white Thursday pure whites with glints of black, And friday...green , grey ..changeable Saturday is black with glints of navy Sunday .....whites yellows
I really love your videos, you are so resourceful and you always explain in an easy way. I wish I had the time to watch all your videos! Keep up with your good videos! Grateful! :-)
Friday was named after Freyja I was born on Veles day ( Wednesday/ Slavic ) Would Wednesday be a good day for music related spells ? Cronos also would be connected with Saturday Cronos =Greek Saturn = Roman
Thanks for sharing this hearth. I have one question: how do you also associate the days of the week with the Four Elements? Also, I realized that Mondays are also the days when I connect with Brigid, so at least that makes sense. Anyways, thanks and hope to hear from you soon. 🙏
I remember the correspondences to the planets because of the spanish days of the week but i had no idea the days in english were pulled from the norse tradition, and with the same correspondences at that. Now that i think about it english is a germanic language so that explains the ties to norse mythology. Apparently every language spoken has the same correspondences for the days lol i just saw the comments about french korean & japanese, i always thought it was only with the spanish days of the week.
Hello, when it comes to working with masculine or feminine deities on certain days, should I take into consideration the energy the deity portrays or which gender they are usually portrayed as, because for example Horus is a male deity but has a general feminine energy. Love all content you put out, I've been able to grow as a practitioner through your educational videos. x
No, there not. You should read the Edda. A lot of people think they are the same, but they're not. Different stories, different personalities, different backgrounds etc. Similar, but not the same.
I never understood why isnt monday first day of week.. somewhere? Is it british or american thing? (In Finland we consider week starting at monday) I mean sunday is literally part of weekEND. 😅
They're mainly from small shops in Glastonbury, the Necklace was from Imaginarium , the ring was from Man, Myth and Magic and the chocker was from eBay (I think) xx
