There was a problem with the wires and cables on my unit having been threaded incorrectly through the frame or forks, at the factory, so that there wasn’t enough slack to mount the handlebars assembly properly. It took an extra 2 hours of puzzling and disassembly to solve that. Remember to also remove the coils that bind the cables neatly together, when trying to give enough slack for free movement of the handlebars. One brake cable wrapped around the fork kept binding.
