Could anybody explain the words of the professor. He said: "another misinterpretation of the Golden rule is do unto others before others do to you". Then he added to clarify this thesis: "Mahayana indian golden rule". I am studying the buddhism, especially mahayana buddhism. I've never met any mention of such kind of golden rule. Please, could anybody explain the meaning of this "mahayana golden rule"? I would really appreciate your help.
He did not say "mahayana indian golden rule". That's an auto-subtitle mistake. He spoke in Tagalog saying "lamangan na yan, hindi na golden rule", which roughly translates to "That's just people trying to one up each other, not the golden rule anymore." Hope this clarifies it.
