I have Q Acoustics 3020i which has an amazing enclosure design and decoupled soft-dome tweeter design. A big upgrade from Bose. The crossover network is very similar to many in-ceiling and in-wall speakers which kind of sucks compared to more expensive speakers from the same company and the Magnat Quantum 503 but, I can't blame them because it's a mid-end bookshelf speaker and they had to build it to price in order to use a low resonance enclosure design.
Magnat Baut in der Quantum Serie, sehr gute Lautsprecher. Ich selbst habe die Quantum 603, die von einem HK 980 angetrieben werden. Als Unterstützung für den Tiefton Bereich kommt ein Betasub 35A zum Einsatz. Ich bin mit dieser Combo mehr als zufrieden.
It seems it has cheap cables, cheap aluminum connectors (in place of good copper ones or even silver solderer. More or less 27 years ago I owned a pair of Magnat Zero 5 made in Germany. Sounds really good correctly placed; but when I look inside I found really cheap parts and manufacture for its price. Magnat has change owner since. Thanks for the video ArtürsM.
I personaly own a pair of 507 from the same series. Bought them new via mail order,because ive read some good reviews...... Build quality is certainly good for the price. But the offered sound quality isnt. Its okish with computer made consumer music but acoustic people made music isnt enjoyable at all. I honestly thought that they messed up the internal wiring but nope,because it sounded just wrong
Magnat is not made in Germany anymore as far as i know. Since more than 20 years Magnat is not original Magnat. It was bought off by American company Audiovox. I have a few Original Magnat Speakers made in Germany, Pulheim. Where Magnat used to produce. The Zero 5 and Zero 4, made in 1991 and 1992. The successor of the famous All Ribbon series. When i compare them to modern Magnat..... well modern Magnat is just the name, not the quality. The modern ones all look cheap and to me does not seem like "High End" It seems to me like they got pretty cheap when bought by Audiovox. Even when Audiovox owns brands like Bose, Klipsch and Bowers & Wilkins. They seem to have put Magnat as their Mid Range Class. Like Bose. Bose also is just a name but not really quality or audiophile. Bose is more Marketing and psychoacoustics. I personally do not like Audiovox at this moment because of that. If i have the opportunity i am willed to give them a chance and change my mind. But right now.... no. I just bought a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 2
@@dom3827 Hello! I read your lines... Magnat as any other brands makes cheap, better and high quality audio goods. And You are right-older original magnat loudspeakers were great performers with good quality and sound (in bottom line too). Now I have-use also audiovox company's loudspeaker, a pair of Heco Elementa 300 bookshelf loudspeaker. It is a premium category, in outfit-manufacturing and sound quality too. I tested it both wharfedale diamond 10.2 and MA bronze 2, the Heco blown them away... Heco-Magnat-Macaudio-Oelbach is one company.
I knew Magnat is still manufactured by a German brand, probably made in Germany only. Can anyone suggest a 2 way, preferably 3 way bookshelf speakers with adequate range of high and some good low frequency response? B&W only option? Or there are some other brand producing decent quality at decent price. Please help
Hi! After long time and lot of personal listenings, tests I found/choose Heco Elementa 300 bookshelves. Amazing quality in build and sound. Die-cast basket on the long throw rubber surrounded woofer, double magnet.Aluminuim polished front plate for the 28mm tweeter. High quality crossover, thick alu plate for the banana plug connectors. Screwed phase optimised bass reflex port. Very lowwww frequencies 😉 Original price about 750 euros but I bought from my friend with 3,5 years warranty (from 5) about 300 eurs.
Jak widać ,cewka połączona jest z zaciskami linką w izolacji . Ciekawy jestem kiedy się ułamią od drgań.W porządnych głośnikach takie łączenia wykonane są z plecionki ,która jest trwała.
@@immortanjoe6432 - W porządnych głośnikach wysokiej klasy . Plecionka była też w głośnikach produkowanych kilkadziesiąt lat temu . Dzisiaj robi się lipę.
In fact I did have them,but I sold them. I had a couple of Magnat products in my possession but I sold them all. And I am comparing them to the Bowers and Wilkins 602.(because those are the speakers sitting next to me. I bought the 503's for 100 Euro and the B&Ws for 240 bucks,so I KNOW there is a huge price gap BUT even for 100 Bucks I was expecting something more,based on other 100 Euro speakers I've had before.
"the rockerxx69" You have not watched the video correctly, there is a chipboard side reinforcement on which are glued black foam rounds to block the bass speaker and attenuate these vibrations! The bass driver has a double-stage chassis, and a seal is visible on the first level! The tweeter also has a thin neoprene foam gasket (1mm thick). On the other hand, we do not see a seal on the vent which is very well manufactured with an internal flow edge, which is not common! The quality of the filter is in the good average, the manufacturing quality of the loudspeakers is in the good average of the world standards for this range of loudspeaker prices. Honestly, for the price of these loudspeakers, there's not much to blame them for, for listening, that's another story!
