Magnatone Super 15 

Anything Klon like works for me. I run it with Vol at noon, tone at noon and gain at 9 o'clock and it adds just enough.

Both amps are in the Marshall realm. DS40 is more versatile overall given the gain abilities. I love both amps and play them both equally. The Magnatone isn't getting into VanHalen gain but it's got enough gain to do any 70's hard rock.

It can be too loud at times if, like myself, your only gigging with an acapella Gregorian chant combo.

The stock speaker isn’t bad at all but the Celestion 20 watt UK Greenback improved it a touch. That said the stock and Celestion are close. The biggest tone improvement comes when I connect the amp to an external 2x12 with an H30 and Greenback. The bigger cab really sounds incredible compared to the little combo box. It’s a great amp and really pleased with it. I think it’s dead center between Marshall and Supro tone.

GuitarGathering damn. You have me seriously thinking about buying this today. Being able to connect external to a cab is cool. I like the whole master vol. I shouldn’t be looking for any cleans on this thing though right. This is more crunch

@@mbach1187 it is geared to crunchy but there cleans for sure with the master up and gain below 1/2 way.

The stock speaker in Magnatone amps is made by WGS.

No significant hum at all. Quiet.

It only hums during songs that it doesn't know the words too 🤐
