Last P-226 I got, I broke it immediately... the push pin apparently was not spread apart enough and it pushed the pin right into the cartridge... the p-191 is cheaper and sounds just as good
@@SteveScarletNeither did I until the last time... I also am not a fan of plastic stylus, ever work on a RCA Rp-217 changer?... the needle weight is crazy 6 to 11 grams
Good idea about tying the grounds together. I installed put a Pfanstiehl from VOM on a Garrard changer in a Packard Bell console, and using all four pins does get very tight. I've been a bit concerned about shorting, so I may use your trick, or slide some shrink tube onto the leads. The amp is also super clean on that unit. Did you polish it up?
