Repair of tuning flywheel, re-install original tuning string. Trace audio signal all the way up to the speaker jacks. Found poor/cracked solder on ALL grounds, & reflow solder joints on the front panel controls. Also cracked. Lastly, D'oh! Test the test speakers, prior to use. One of the best stereo decoders ever heard for a unit almost 50 years old. 1971 Magnavox quality, never to be seen again. Lost in less than 10 years. While the Hi-Fi stereo market starts being flooded with imported receivers, mostly from Japan. This Magnavox stands out.
