Does the s3 tag stay silent when when a customer deactivates the tag and walks out the store? Will it sound the store alarms themselves after being deactivated?
I have some Non-deactivatable tags I put in my pocket. Out of 10 times i think they only stopped me once going out the door. Fun to attach on the bottom of shopping carts also.
I know a thieves' trick that is similar. You steal an item with a tag and put another tag on someone's trolley/in their bag and follow them out, maybe 1 or 2 seconds later. The alarm is still going from the planted tag, the 1st person to trip it gets the heat.
huxleypig69 it’s fun to carry em.. and hear the chimes ring going through! I carry a universal tv remote disguised as a cell phone also, cycles through all the codes, shuts all of Walmart’s monitors off, heh. A devious person could use it to entice people to give them their “defect” tv that keeps going off for free, or offer to repair it :). Also fun to turn tv’s on in shops closed for the day

Yo I ordered one online , looked the same but without a label. I was amazed I was caught with it once and they believed I bought it at the local smoke shop
Yes. You need the security screwdriver (pentalobe maybe) but you can also unscrew them with some force and a normal blade-shaped screwdriver of the correct size. Then, the little thing that triggers the alarm can be taken out.
Fun stuff Hux! I've made a few videos on these too! Check them out if you get a chance. I have most of the tools to remove them, as well as most every style of tag commonly found in the US. There are really only 3 styles of locks on these, magnets, pressure points, and the metal hook type. Cool to know about the Halbach array, I never knew the name, but understand how it works due to researching patents

You can get the magnets from China for unlocking these. They have been available for years. You can buy Alpha keys as well. I used to make a living using these a long time ago Not all A keys are the same. Other companies make unique ones for stores once they got out in the wild. As for walking put of the store with one put it in a metal box... 😂
