This video discusses magnetism, magnetic fields, Ampere's Law, torque, solenoids, and physics problems. It explains the relationship between current and magnetic fields, the right hand rule, and how to calculate magnetic forces and torques in various scenarios. The video also covers the concept of magnetic dipole moments and the calculation of magnetic fields in solenoids. Key moments: 00:01 Magnetism involves attraction and repulsion between poles. Magnetic fields are created by moving electric charges, illustrated by the right-hand rule. -Illustration of magnetic field using the right-hand rule. The direction of the magnetic field around a wire can be determined by the direction of current flow and the curl of fingers around the wire. -Calculation of magnetic field strength. The equation B = u0 * i / 2πr is used to calculate the strength of the magnetic field created by a wire, where u0 is the permeability of free space. -Relationship between current and magnetic field strength. Increasing current increases the magnetic field strength due to direct proportionality. Decreasing distance weakens the magnetic field due to inverse proportionality. 08:03 Calculating the distance from a wire for a magnetic field strength involves using the equation involving current, magnetic field strength, and constants. Understanding the relationship between current, magnetic field, and magnetic force is crucial in physics. -Converting distance units from centimeters to meters is essential in physics calculations. One meter is equivalent to 100 centimeters. -The calculation of magnetic force involves the current, length of the wire, and the angle between the current and magnetic field. Increasing current or magnetic field strength results in a higher magnetic force. -The right-hand rule is used to determine the direction of the magnetic force acting on a current-carrying wire in a magnetic field. The force is perpendicular to both the current and the magnetic field. 16:07 Understanding the right-hand rule helps determine the direction of the magnetic force on a current-carrying wire. The magnitude of the magnetic force can be calculated using the formula F = ILB. -Using the right-hand rule to determine the direction of the magnetic force based on the orientation of the current and magnetic field. -Calculating the magnitude of the magnetic force on a wire using the formula F = ILB. 24:10 Understanding the right-hand rule is crucial for determining the direction of magnetic force. Magnetic force on a moving charge can be calculated using the equation F = Bqv sin(theta). -Right-hand rule helps determine the direction of magnetic force. Thumb points in the direction of current, fingers show magnetic field direction. -Equation F = Bqv sin(theta) calculates magnetic force on a moving charge. Current, charge, velocity, and angle are key factors in the equation. -Magnetic force direction depends on the orientation of charge and magnetic field. Use the right-hand rule to determine the force's direction. -For negatively charged particles, magnetic force direction is opposite to that of positively charged particles. Reverse the direction for negative charges. 32:15 A proton moving in a magnetic field perpendicular to its velocity will follow a circular path due to perpendicular forces. The radius of this path can be calculated using the equation r = mv / Bq. -Perpendicular forces cause a moving proton to follow a circular path in a magnetic field. The magnetic force acts as a centripetal force. -Electrons moving in a magnetic field experience a force opposite to protons, leading to circular motion in the opposite direction. The radius of the circular path can be calculated using the equation r = mv / Bq. 40:18 Calculating the radius of a proton's path involves using the speed, magnetic field strength, and charge. The energy of a proton in electron volts can be found by converting its kinetic energy. Wires with currents in the same direction attract each other due to magnetic forces. -Calculating the radius involves speed, magnetic field strength, and charge of a proton. The radius is found to be 2.09 centimeters. -Converting the proton's kinetic energy to electron volts gives 130,703 eV. The process involves understanding the relationship between joules and electron volts. -Electric potential is explained as energy per unit charge, with 1 volt equaling 1 joule per coulomb. The charge of an electron and its energy in electron volts are discussed. -Wires with currents in the same direction attract due to magnetic forces. The right hand rules are used to determine the direction of magnetic fields and forces between wires. 48:22 Understanding the force between parallel wires with current in the same direction, calculating the force magnitude, and applying Ampere's law for magnetic fields are essential concepts in electromagnetism. -Calculation of the force between two parallel wires with current in the same direction involves using the formula F = μ0 * I1 * I2 * L / 2π * R. -Ampere's law describes the relationship between current and magnetic fields, stating that the sum of magnetic fields around a closed path is equal to μ0 times the current enclosed by the path. -Solenoids, consisting of multiple wire loops, create strong magnetic fields at the center due to the cumulative effect of current loops, making them useful for generating powerful magnetic fields. 56:46 The strength of the magnetic field in a solenoid is directly proportional to the current passing through it and the number of turns per unit length, while inversely proportional to its length. -Increasing current or the number of turns per unit length in a solenoid enhances the strength of the magnetic field. -Decreasing the length of a solenoid also increases the strength of the magnetic field. 1:04:33 A current-carrying loop experiences torque in a magnetic field due to the force exerted on its sides. The torque formula is T = nIABsin(theta), where n is the number of loops, I is the current, A is the area, B is the magnetic field strength, and theta is the angle between the field and the normal line. -The torque on a current-carrying loop is due to the force exerted on its sides by the magnetic field. The force is perpendicular to both the current and the magnetic field, resulting in a torque that causes the loop to turn. -The torque formula for a single loop is T = nIABsin(theta), where n is the number of loops, I is the current, A is the area of the loop, B is the magnetic field strength, and theta is the angle between the field and the normal line. 1:12:56 Torque on a coil is greatest at 90 degrees between the magnetic field and the normal line of the coil, resulting in rotation. At 0 degrees, there is no torque due to parallel forces. -Explanation of torque at different angles. -Illustration of equilibrium at 0 degrees. 1:20:43 To find the maximum torque in a magnetic field, multiply the number of loops, current, area, and sine of 90 degrees. The magnetic field can be calculated by dividing the product of these values by the torque. -Calculation of maximum torque involves multiplying the number of loops, current, area, and sine of 90 degrees. -Solving for the magnetic field requires dividing the product of loops, current, area by the torque value

themba xulu Hi ,There are no coincidence in this life and I know for sure that GOD is giving all of us the chance to know him better and to make a relationship with him , and also have a great life : the answer is the prophet Muhammed Peace be upon him , he is the latest messenger from GOD to all mankind , Muslims were once the leaders of the world when they were practicing the commandement of the Curan , I know that you will delete this message but please take a few minutes of your time and make some research about it . I am sending this message to everyone I can reach , everyone deserve to know the truth , Peace be with you and good luck. scientific proofs that quran is the 3rd message from GOD to all the word :ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wdFTufG6ZUw.html

I'm pretty sure I am late in trying to answer this but: For the left side, you place your thumb facing up, and your fingers facing to the right. Doing this will make it so that your palm faces away from out (into the page) For the right side, you place your thumb facing down, and your fingers facing to the right. Doing this will make it so that your palm faces towards you (out of the page)

For applying the right hand rule for the current, magnetic field and magnetic force, it might be easier to have you thumb as F, your pointer finger as I and the remaining three as B.

Not sure if this will get answered because this video is quite old, but with the strength of magnetic field at 16:09 is the magnetic field still wrapping around the wire current, or is it travelling horizontally?

Magnetic fields introduced during water electrolysis double the hydrogen output when the magnetic field is parallel to the current flow. I'd say this experimentally disproves the magnetic field doesn't add kinetic energy to the electrons when parallel.
