Magneto's line "look at them, they can't even make peace with each other" is nuts, he's still a person, he's not outside of that cycle of violence. Mutants are human, separation only leads to more hate.

Yeah that argument doesn't work when we consider that mutants have been denied living peaceful lives on their islands many times simply because they're mutants. If it was Genosha, Utopia or Krakoa, humanity made sure to make mutantkind lives a living hell and rain down Sentinels on their homes. Xavier's dream of coexistence has failed time and time again, so the only way mutants can achieve a semblance of respect is unfortunately by embracing Magneto's mutant supremacy ideals, thus the line: "Magneto was right"

Wolverine is acting just like magneto in some ways. Magneto really tried to walk in Xavier ways and Wolverine was a whiteness to that. Magneto was betrayed and his mutant family was destroyed, so he retaliated. Wolverine want the earth to be saved so he tried to kill magneto.
