It's so sad that people back then and even now are punished for loving someone. Edit: Even though Sahin is portrayed as an evil character, I do admire his unconditional love for his younger brother, Mehmet. Their love is wholesome.
She's such a child. Where does she thinks she's going to run to? She would just fall into the hands of men much less forbearing than Ahmed. Sometimes, unfortunately, you just have to make the best of things. Not surprising that they changed the actress, since this one only appears to be capable of projecting petulance (two facial expressions: pouty sulk and lip-trembling misery). The other actress projects maturity.
@@annamack5823 She was hoping to be reunited with her family. I disagree. I think she is a rough around the edges country girl, and she has come a long way. She is blossoming into a real princess, and I like her. I actually love the actress. Beren is not nearly as good. I think she is the one with only two facial expressions. That of arrogance, and that of feigned concern.
Actually she *already had* planned to run away, but during the day this performance happened 😂 So the run away plan had to take place bcoz alex was involved in the plan, and he didn't know about that sweet lil sleeping segment 😂
@annamack5823 come off it. Beren ruined it all. She couldn't carry the character. No facial expressions. It looked she was forced to accept the role and she was doing it half-hearted. Sorry for contradicting with you, but this is my opinion
Oh how annoying how anastasia still only thinks about escape.. my eyes got tired from rolling all the time🙄🙄🙄 girl get your sh... together and make your fate
@@user-yo1qd6uk5ebut she don't think even in dreams none of the men think choose this risky decision .she beat 1000 of women in harem and life long occupy in sultan mind
14:36 the door where handan is standing ...isn't it the one that ibrahim pasha used to go in his room nextdoor, and where he got strangled? This kosam series reminds me of the previous series, anf takes me back to its mesmerising impact ❤
Also the another interesting fact is that, both the Mughals and the Girays were relatives because both of them were the descendants of Emperor Genghis Khan of Mongol Empire🇮🇳🇺🇦🇷🇺🇺🇿🇲🇳!
@@At7a110 in real history? or just in the the series? I know Osman's mother was real, but she--in actual history with no verifiable reason as to why--disappears from topkopi palace records shortly after osman himself appears (within 0to2yrs of age). If this other Mahfiruze also existed and was so important to Ahmed, then why gloss over death?
@@theduchessofspring2395 I don’t know what your saying or mean but Osmans mum died during an attack. if you asking how she was gone from the palace they sent her to Edrine as she was pregnant with Osman they sent her there for some reason (which o don’t know) and then she came back in 8 while she was going to Edrine the Jelalli captured her and the Ahmet went and brought her back to the palace.
I was envious of Safiye's huge closet! And of course she had her own hair stylist 😂 im still astonished that they had hot hair tools back then.. curling irons and crimpers..or was that fictional because the earliest hot hair tool was developed late 1800s
24:16 wow this breathtakingly awesome interior of this room.....❤❤ Reminded me of valida hafsa sultan first, then hurrem. Just a question. If this is used by ruling valida sultan, then why handan doesn't stay here? Safiya should move to somewhere else. Isn't it? And if they're being respectful in giving her this chamber, then its sweet of them ❤
The actor is hulya avsar. She's super elegant and carrying her role brilliantly. Bcoz of obvious aging, they have applied blur/softening filters on her onscreen moments. So with aysa hafsa sultan actor nabahet cehre
Safiye keeps saying "We","us" who is she talking bout other than herself lol? she is cringy af. I wonder why Sultan just didnt get rid of her after she tried to assassinate him and stole the money after? she is a headache.
I think it is bad translating. In Turkish, the plural (we/us) is also the formal. One would always refer to a sultan (even to yourself as a sultan!) in a formal/plural tense. The English translation should be me/I.
@@rudydawgs no I'm watching in Turkish. Even in Turkish she uses we. But I did read somewhere that it was because she was heavily influenced by Europe where they used "we" to refer to themselves 🤷
In Europe royals used the term we. Meaning me and God. Since their power was derived from God. But in reality they had power because their ancestors invaded and grabbed the throne. The sultans were the shadow of God upon the earth
Its full of unnecessary drama. I hope hostory wasn't that eventful like a roller coaster 😂 But interiors and locations and gowns and crowns and jewellery....super awesome. Paid attention to every detail Nice
