Magnificent York Station model railway in OO 

I lived in Harrogate 1961-65 while with the US Army and spent a lot of hours photographing and making movies of York railways. You have captured the station in all its glory. Excellent modeling and craftsmanship!

Nice to see it finally running, I have watched the construction of this layout on RMweb for some time now and have been very impressed with layout and especially the quality of the buildings on it, they are just superb. Now we can also see that this attention to detail has also been applied to the trackwork and weathering of stock. Regards, Richard

This is a fantastic model layout of York Station Giles, this brings back many happy memories of York Station as it used to be from my trainspotting childhood days with my late Father 👏

I notice that all his trains have DCC Sound in them!! LOVELY!!

I read the title of the video and thought it was talking about the model railway that is at york station. Anyway am amazed it looks just like the real thing.

I have fond memories of York station in the late 50s and have a vivid memory of being shown a diesel engine (I still remember the strange smell). I hope you film this again with green screen and render some background views; it would make a great candidate. Well done on your great craftsmanship.

One looked like the Brighton Belle, but did that go through York? I lived in Croydon as a child and could see the London to Brighton line from my bedroom window. The BB used to pass going south daily at about 2.20pm and it was nearly always well on time.

Peter Smith of Kirtley Models is the Super Quick king as all his models rely on paper coverings rather than having any relief. Look nice at a distance but not close up.
