I just wanted to add an “oil stains” trick to the mix that I discovered recently and it works on all oil stains :) I was a bit apprehensive as it involves WD-40, tried it on something that I didn’t mind to ruin completely and it worked!!! Basically you reactivate the stain with a tiny bit of WD-40 (I use cotton Bud to apply) then you rub baking powder on the “new” oil stain, shake it off, more powder, more shaking. So you are drawing most of the oil out with the powder. Last step is dishwashing liquid on the baking powder stain now for 15 minutes and in the wash on a normal cycle. I got out every single stain this way, even really old ones :) I hope it helps someone :)

You are so lucky! Our Goodwills don't discount Target donations BUT, like yours, the pricing is very inconsistent! There are times when I'd walk into Goodwill and it would look like I'd walked into Target! LOVE these videos!! 💝
When you say they don’t discount Target donations… do you mean… someone donates a $20.00 decorative bowl from Target, so at goodwill you can only buy it for $20.00?! Why don’t they discount the original costs? Isn’t that the point? And why do they do that w Target? Just curious, thank you 🤍🤍🤍
@@dreamerintheskies I worked at Target, in fact donations were a big part of my job. Goodwill 'buys' Target donations for 10 cents a pound, at least they did 6-7 years ago. Saying my Goodwill doesn't discount Target items, I only meant they don't allow them percentages off on sale or special color days. In my area, the Target items were never further discounted. btw, I believe each Goodwill determines what they charge for the Target items. Make sense?🙃

@@dreamerintheskies I've seen them in other thrift stores but as far as I know Goodwill is their priority, at least in colorado. There were times when I literally walked into goodwill and saw the items I pulled the week before! sometimes it absolutely KILLED me to watch something I coveted go to goodwill for pennies!! BUT, in that job, I had many...MANY...wonderful purchases!! the rule is (was?) it had to be on the floor for a couple hours before employees could buy. Some would be creative! 🙄

Wall Shelf....I enjoy your channel, as I love to thrift shop and see what I can do with it to repourpose it. But like you if I see something in a store or on a site that I like but don't want to pay their price and go on the hunt for a cheaper version or alternative.
If I could be so lucky (but I live far far away in Australia) the wood shelf is perfect! Online it's priced from $50 to $325, so I may have to check Goodwill's for something close to it, although out 2nd hand and charity shops are no where close to anything like yours, and are getting pricier. I don't think I need to follow any other channels after watchung yours for some time now. The consistent classy but budget helpful designs you produce are near perfect. I live your style, it's not "too" anything...I also like very moderate bo-ho, farmhouse, industrial but all in a classic style base. THANK YOU for videos that are easy to understand and flow nicely. Thus video was perfect example. I don't prefer to be held hostage thostage on a hour long video with project overviews that take way too much film. I do like that shelf you scored, but I think this video from last week. Keep them coming...we love ya out here in DIY land💟
Our Goodwill is in general far too expensive. There is another thrift about 20 m from me but much better prices. I'd love that wall shelf. I can pay shipping (hopefully 😁)

Wall shelf.I’m a disabled veteran who ended up homeless with my dogs for 8 months during the winter in MO. I worked my butt off,I just moved into an amazing house 2 weeks ago and am in the process of trying to rebuild and decorate while I wait to go back to school in august
You’re amazing! My local thrift stores have nothing but overpriced items and overpriced dollar tree items. They also have a huge section of brand new items which are overpriced as well. Love all your finds!
We don’t have a Goodwill in the area. We do have Savers and Salvation Army. The prices on many things are absolutely ridiculous. Even Dollar Tree items are priced higher than they originally cost.
