I always loved Magnum P.I and this on going plot or twist with his love for Michelle and later on her daughter really was top notch. Memories are forever, Little girl who, Unfinished business and even Resolutions kept a red thread thru seven seasons. Memories are forever is one of the best episodes for sure of the entire show. I loved it, and still watch it.
Yes he would have. I liked the original but I really like the reboot too. Especially since it's not a retelling of the old stories. I also really like all the action of the new one.
When Michelle let Magnum think that she was dead when he and the US Troops who were in Saigon heading back to the states, she didn't bother to think about not only hurting him but also his family, including his mother, who was pleased that he found love long after his father was killed in action in Korea before he could come home for the 4th of July.
I never understood why Michele was safe with whatshisname (new husband from France) and not Magnum. They should have put them together, at least for a while...
Anne DeGrave; The Magnum PI episodes featuring Thomas's ongoing love for Michelle were some of the most powerful hours of tv and still hold up for me-There is one where Higgins quotes to him the maxim "It is better to have loved and lost..."etc and Thomas replies, "No. It's not" I have always felt the truth of that and many agree. There was quality to the show that I seldom see in any program since.
