What a game. Duda just handling too many plates that Betty couldnt dishwash. Congrats with a new sponsor! Well done. Looking out for rollouts and Titled Tuesdays.
Mate so happy to see sponsorships on your channel! Congrats! This analysis was brilliant, your quirky /dad joke metaphors are truly what make this channel a gem. So enjoyable to watch your videos. Don't forget your essence as you become a big fish on YT 😉
For those of us who watch your videos daily you might want to consider a timestamp for when the chess begins. Although I dunno if that would upset the advertiser.
You’re doing a great job with these vids- I like other chess analysts like Gotham Chess, Ben Finegold and HANS NIEMAN although I watch yours daily because of the potent mix of humour, brevity and charisma! Keep it up!
Not sure if he's is reinventing the chess or he's just few hundred ELO higher than his opponents and he can just give up few moves as a handicap and still win. If I'm giving up a queen against my grandma, am I reinventing chess? xD (my grandma is not playing chess)
Soz was a bit long, one of those ads pays me a lot same as 10 videos tbh…hard to turn down but I don’t work with companies I don’t believe in, say no to a lot more than what I say yes to

thanks a lot and yeah I always found that with a great uncle of mine, he'd get mad into some rubbish winter sports like curling and then it got me going too lol
Have watched you since the beginning. Was going to point out some minor imperfections but you ironed them out pretty much instantly, so was no need :) Have watched you so consistently that I didn't even notice that I wasn't even subscribed until a couple of days ago! Also, big congrats on the sponsor, well deserved for the best concise chess channel out there!
Yeah good thinking. I've been struggling a bit lately for new ideas. Think I might cover a few of these Prague Masters games and just generally amazing games of chess. Thanks for the feedback
I love the enthusiasm as always, but I'm starting to get pretty tired of you clamoring about "disrespect" and pretending you don't know how he's "getting away with it", when you obviously know Magnus is playing this way to disrupt his opponent's plans and take them out of their prep, which he then capitalizes on. The evaluation bar means nothing when a human opponent can't calculate the line they need to follow to get the advantage. I know you know this, and it's disingenuous to keep pretending you don't.
Traditionally playing in this manner has been considered disrespectful to your opponent. Magnus knows this. His opponents know this. How do all his fans not know this? He’s literally embarrassing his opponents by playing these garbage openings and still beating them. He’s one of the few people in the world who can play like this against super GM’s and get away with it. And that’s a credit Magnus who, in my opinion is the best to ever play the game. But to say it’s not a disrespect opening… idk man.
@@mikecroke6078: Since he started playing like this, his win rate has only increased. Stop acting like it's "disrespect" when it's obvious what he's doing and why it's working. This is a limited time format, and he knows a human opponent can't calculate the rest of the game far enough to capitalize on a "garbage opening", so the evaluation bar means nothing. He accepts a small theoretical disadvantage at the beginning to disrupt his opponent and throw away their prep. There's a reason his time advantages have been steadily improving. It's obvious what's happening and why it's working. Magnus is proving that the "traditional" style of playing like an engine against another engine isn't necessary against humans, at least in limited time formats like this. By making moves your opponent never considered, you can attack their clock by forcing them to use up time calculating future lines. It's really straightforward with a little thought, so only someone being extremely dense wouldn't be capable of understanding it.
Felt Duda should really have won that pushing that g pawn etc when he already had a passed pawn on the cusp of promoting seemed like a real loss of tempo I find it kind of funny how even GMs miss the correct moves at the end of a game like Rook to a8 or etc it was Good game otherwise by Duda hanging in there with Magnus I’ve heard a lot of people say he’ll be a weak link in the candidates tournament Thanks for the game James
