To me the mark of a champion is when they are able to win in different ways. When Magnus Ditlev broke the course record at @challengeroth in 2023 he rode sub four hours and then ran a 2: 37 marathon. Magnus is known as an uber cyclist and is routinely off the bike first. But when he won the season opener of @T100Triathlon at CLASH Miami, after taking a sixth in 2022 in Miami and dropping out in 2023, he adapted to the extreme heat and made sure he stayed hydrated on the bike even though Sam Laidlow and two-time Olympic gold medalist Alistair Brownlee were off the front. On this day Magnus decided he would win the race on the run rather than on the bike. And he did! This was a great conversation with a young man who is hoping to win T100 Alcatraz in a few weeks and then get ready for a potential three-peat at Challenge Roth before T100 London and then a three month training block for the Ironman World Championship!!
