1:05 I like how the loony bin van just "came out of nowhere", because a dog, in the middle of the rural country, got stunned and was out of it for a couple seconds...I heard Metallica wrote the song "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" because they all got stoned and saw this cartoon on TV. Still, what drew the attention of that truck and that fast of a response? An eye in the sky???
I wonder, was Dimwit yet another Lenny derivative from John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men"? Cartoon studios did seem to have a thing for "Duuuuh . . . " voices.
@@wmbrown6 Maybe. But I think Chumley, the walrus from the Tennessee Tuxedo cartoons was more like Lenny, big and dumb an always began every sentence with "Duuuh." Remember that cartoon.
brian sedlock I don't "crow"...but someone probably "cawed" them and told them...lol Ya' gotta' love these crazy magpies! I wish cartoons like this were shown on tv now...toons like this are sure a lot more worth watching than most all the annoying crap they throw in our faces these days, ya' know. A Huge Thank You to the person that posted this priceless toon-treasure!
brian sedlock One thing I do miss is the ending bit on their weekly cartoon show... They were on a giant fireworks-type skyrocket pointed towards the sky, and while lighting the fuse said: "TALLY-HO AND AWAY WE GO...SEE YOU NEXT WEEK IN A BRAND NEW SHOW!!!" I'm not really sure if they said "in" or "with" a brand new show... but it seems more like they said "in a brand new show". Maybe someone out there knows for sure.
@@cooliesass Only these Heckle and Jeckle cartoons were not brand new, they were theatrical from late 1940's and 1950's. I'm not sure when the HECKLE AND JECKLE cartoons came to TV, perhaps in the late 1950's.
Heckle and Jeckle cartoon PIRATES GOLD is no available in English anywhere, but it can be viewed in Portuguese :Faisca e Fumaca "Ouro Do Pirata".. Unless someone can put the English one up on RU-vid?
Gosh never knew a cartoon like this even existed! I think I remember Fido though, does seem a bit familiar. This goes to show how utterly chaotic and yet dangerous magpies of all animals can be!! 🤣
