With the 2A being the equalizer between citizen, state, and threats, yes. But because the framers only intended for us to hunt (ignore their prior revolution) with cannons, muskets, and swords, I doubt it'll happen. /s
Seeing as how the framers wanted civilian law enforcement I completely agree any law that effects the citizenry should be applied to all law enforcement agencies operating on American soil.
@@BriGuyIT Yes, the'll use a shorter spring. But luckily Brownells, Wolff, and various other places have replacement 30 round springs for sale. And luckily, I hear Magpul sells baseplates and lockplates separately as well
@@phils.4719 Or just buy a mag rebuild kit which is legal in all states (probably not commiefornia) and you don't have to concern yourself with modifications
@@cleetismcdougall5425 that’s the problem. The government threatens and coerces normal people with fines and jail time, and we capitulate. Plenty of communities (gays, stoners, 2nd amendment types, etc.) feel infringed upon for victimless crimes. Why do we keep playing games with people who want to control and manipulate our lives? This shit isn’t some fun game. If a dude in California dies because he needed an eleventh round in his mag, how good is his family gonna feel when they can say “well at least he didn’t break the law”?
I love how you let us know what materials were used. Makes “fixing” this easier. I too can’t wait till this is discontinued as well. Are you going to produce a retrofit kit so we can make these normal once the bans are over?
FINALLY thank god!!! I’ve been waiting for ACTUAL AR mags in terms of length that only carry ten rounds from Magpul. I HATED using the little dinky 10round mags so I’m glad I finally have a full mag to manipulate with. I live in CT so we’re already restricted to ten rounds, and this is a godsend. Now I don’t have to keep buying Lancer mags 👍🤣
@@the8jrfan Sadly wont work with this mag since the spring is shortened, @jakeorama has a good point, jsut a kit with a new floorplate and spring would be cheap enough to sell
The presumption of innocence doesn’t always apply to the exercise of freedoms as much as it should. Good job Magpul, doing what you can to help fight the good fight.
Awesome! Now not only can we comply, but we can constantly have to show the mags to the range officer, or god forbid a real officer because they 💯% look like real 30 round mags. Great idea! Put me down for a pallet full!
Some people just want to use them in normal, AR mag pouches. I do that, and they're much easier to reach for than the 10 round shorties. Just don't buy them if you're tired of getting bullied by some fudd RSO.
It’s looking like you’d be able to drill the rivet out then put in regular 30 rounder internals. Look at the bottom of the mag, same rectangle hole for the bottom follower and everything, just riveted on
Yea so i... ACCIDENTLY bought some of these... and then i "realized" that they were the "wrong" mags... so if i want to fix a broken spring or something could that be done? I dont wanna have to buy new mags just for one problem that could be easily fixed.
Maybe Magpul will offer their customers 30 rounders to trade if it's overturned. Could make customers for life....or they're getting ready for some real bullshit from Biden and these 10/30 will be all you can buy.
@@redzeppelin6 I think they’re getting ready for the bullshit because last time we had freedom week in CA I called Magpul and asked them for baceplates and locking plates and they didn’t want to send them to me. Their customer service isn’t the best
What dealers say every time in it's history Harley Davidson has introduced a small engine motorcycle or anything else that deviates from it's traditional lineup.
Could you make this for an ar15 pistol? All canada needs this to get past out 5 round mag ban. We can only have 5 rounds in rifles, but 10 in pistol mags. This would make for a great workaround for a stupid law.
Calegalmags has 10/20s. Those make more sense IMO. They don't look stupid like the shorty 10s and don't have the extra real estate of the 30rd body. Downside is they don't work great with regular mag pouches
@@jcdelta1008 they say in the ad thier is a aluminum rivet that hold the blocker in just got to find where its at and delete on it. My guess it's either on the base plate on the back of the magazine hidden well.
This product is so vaguely advertised on the packaging that I thought it was just a removable plug magazine. Literally a rip off and a lie. They make 10 round mags. I own some. So why bother making a ten in a 30 case except to trick fools like me. Pulled it apart and the spring is even too short. So I cannot convert it. Good job. I live in a state where 30s are legal. I bought two of the gen2 30s in the same trip as these two gen3 mags with the intent of seeing what the gen3 upgrades were. Furious at magpul. For the way they worded their packaging. Literally intended to confuse the layperson and for no purpose whatsoever. Good job. I will never buy a magpul product again except in case of extreme emergency
It doesn't seem "vague" at all though? On the packaging, literally the first thing under the Magpul Logo is "PMAG 10/30" in large, bold print? Every single other word on the packaging is way smaller, expect for the "Gen M3" symbol on the side. The BOLD "10/30" is placed exactly where you would see it first without even intending to read the packaging?
@ericgrayson4424 yeah wtf does 10/30 mean? Unwatchable the video in your imagination and tell me what 10/30 means. In my mind 10/30 means either a 10 or a 30. Me: "cool I'll just swap it" Can't. Doesn't have their "not convertible" on the packaging. No big. I returned it and bought a couple MFT. I'll live with it. It's my mistake. But the packaging was vague
These mags are actually rlly useful for training if u want the feel of a normal mag but can’t afford the insane 5.56/.223 prices rn. Also I live in California so yeh this is as close as I can get but it’s still rlly useful for training and their easier to remove, unlike those dinky little 10 rounders they used to sell
sad part is I bought these in my state (30s are legal here) because I THOUGHT they were 30's. Now I basically have 2 useless Pmags till I can "fix" them
@@Mellowconnects I looked up the internals, and reached out to magpul to get any insight they may have, but sadly, "fixing" them would do more damage to the mag than it's worth
This is all we'll have in a few years if Sleepy Joe gets his way. He wants to make magazines with a greater capacity than 10 rounds an nfa item. Therefore requiring a 200 tax stamp for every single magazine above 10 rounds.
At your own risk, sure, but it's nice to have a couple in case you want to shoot in public; or for when Biden's administration decides to come down with his proposal to make 10+ capacity magazines NFA items. I'm sure the Capitol storming won't be used as an excuse to accelerate that plan at all.
These are more for us Americans trapped behind enemy lines in Communist States. You ever try to find a 30 round flat dark Earth pmag In Colorado... It sucks! But What you and your dremel do Behind closed doors Is up to you...
You should definitely examine the technical specifications of the magazine, and take a good long look at what good they can do. Legally, some states and customers cannot have a 30 round magazine ship. So Magpul has innovated, and created a 10 round magazine with the EXACT form factor of the 30 rounders. They should not be modified in any way. Would you prefer people in these states simply not have access to good, reliable, STANDARD capacity magazines while Magpul sits back and sells the same thing to everyone else? These likely cost them way more money than they will ever make back, with the sole goal of distributing standard capacity magazines to everyone. Also, there have been protests just before magazine bans, where hundreds of Magpul mags in distributor boxes just happened to show up. They’re fighting the good fight, and doing so intelligently. What are you doing personally?
