You attach the plate to the back of your phone case. I wouldn’t attach it directly to your phone. I wouldn’t say it would be permanently attached to your phone case once you put it on but it has a pretty good adhesive so I haven’t removed it after putting it on. I swap phone cases if I want to have one for wireless charging and one that would be used on the magview. Or just use the one case you have and know you have to plug in to charge your phone.
