Reggaeton isn't descended from reggae, but rather dancehall, and the Panamanians who birthed reggaeton were of black west Indian decent. Furthermore, the producer of the riddim is Rishi Mahatoo, probably the biggest chutney producer ever, and Savita wrote the lyrics to the Hindi portion of her song with the help of Hindi professors.
