Self modified will be better off and less chances of exorbitant people thinking to steal it. Lol. Many after market options will make it look more of a subtle but worth using everyday. Mind u AC is much required in our side of the world map. So no thank you for the daybreak. I would rather get 2 THAR and modify it in that money.
One question, did Royal Enfield make this? 😂😂🙈 this vehicle is all about modified vintage looks. No comfort! No speed no latest technology or features! Well, at least bullets are comfortable to ride..
andre Delgado Carilion Comfort to it all you'd have to do is get some beat up seats out of a semi tractor attach them to the frame, and then rig up an electric air compressor or rig up an air compressor on the engines belt drive. In fact if you did that and put air bags at all the suspension points you could have air ride suspension instead. It's actually a solid vehicle for the price if you really think about it besides you could probably use aftermarket Jeep parts on the suspension if you wanted to
all that glitters is nt gold 😐 i went mad at its looks bt nw i realise aftr watching the review, its nt at ol value fr money... if u still wanna buy thar thn buy older thar n get it modified
Modification is illegal. Need to pay fine and need to change into original designs. I am telling about state Kerala. If supreme Court order same for every state then game over
Hey Motorbeam! Liked your effort ! Though there a few things I would like to point out sincerely. Thar is a off road vehicle to the core. The daybreak is much costlier than original Thar. It's not exaggerating to say that the extra price is partially justified by it's menacing looks. It has some pretty impressive off road mods! The best way to justify the extra price would be to compare the Thar and Daybreak on an insane off road track. I am sure that daybreak would not let you down, because of the massive wheels, thus high ground clearance, wider footprint and high travel suspension setup, which will prove itself. Now you criticized the vehicle because of its bad on road performance. It's an off road vehicle, and you rarely go above 30 kmph in off-road. Also those trepadors will create lot of rattling and vibrations at high speed, but that's not what they are built for. They would have proved their mettle in sticky loads of mud. Also the car tester said two contrasting statements- Stiff Suspension setup and high body roll! You cannot afford to make such mistakes on camera. Moreover Thar must be having an anti roll bar ( to the best of my knowledge!) which increases roll stiffness even further. Off road vehicles have soft, high travel, low damping setup to increase mechanical grip of the tires. The car tester might have understood the vibrations due to tires as a stiff setup. I also completely understand that Mahindra has left work incomplete. They should have upgraded the gearbox, at least the first two gears to compensate for the massive wheels. This is evident by the non functional fancy intake pipe. In the end you got me excited as I anticipated an off road battle with Safari storme, but it didn't happen !! In the end I personally felt that the review was injustice to the car, because you did not test it what it is built for! You should have done an intensive all terrain test to find the true potential of the vehicle. Highway was the last place to check in fact! And I wonder why would anyone care about 0 to 100 timing of Thar !! I anticipated it wouldn't even reach the 100 mark given the rolling resistance of the tires. I guess that was all ! I humbly expect you to take my suggestion in good taste. Please keep in mind the motive with which the car has been developed and the market it is trying to penetrate before making a review. Also a few fundamentals and Engineering terms should be well known to the tester. It vastly improves the review quality. I hope the best for you ! Good luck !
20 lakh? Oh my goodness. This seems piece of iron and junkyards ergonomic. The review was in its purest form, had fun when you trying to reach rear seats. Nice information altogether.
At this power and torque an all the problems we will be YOUNG when we get in this car but we can't LIVE YOUNG but definitely we will be OLD when we get out !!!And Congrats on the completion of 9 Years and lastly very Practical Review !!!
So .sir wht do u thnk tht thar daybrekr or thar crde is best in ride and comfort .... Evn v r takng a tough hilly road which 1 ll b best ...and evn in fuel efficncy..??
mahindra has been making jeeps for the past 70 years and they still can't get it right...just shows how much they are focused and committed on their quality.
You are the best Indian RU-vid car Host. Appreciate your quality of modernised way of talking. Just like TopGear. Keep up the Good work and dnt ever loose it.
Only channel which uses correct vocabulary no sugar coated words or politically correct language...I find all other youtube channels paid. Keep up the good work @faisal khan
It has a beastly look from every angle, except for those eyes ( or the headlamps as you may call it ) 20 lakhs is a way too much for 105 horspower. Everything other than these 2 facts would make this THAR great in my opinion.
When Mahindra itself is customizing it, why would it add the price of original Thar straightaway? ...for eg. stock wheels are replaced, so why add that cost to the final price ? Shouldn't that be accounted for while pricing it ?
Its unbelievable how engineers can goof up so badly, like gear stick hitting the handbrake etc etc...it was hilarious to see Faisal trying to get into the rear seat!! As always, auto manufacturers get away with selling sub standard stuff and people for some strange (sentimental) reasons buy them.
The best truthful review I have seen ever. You guys have pointed out the positives and negatives without hesitation, big salute, rather than the normal reviews which only speaks about the pros of a vehicle, keep going well and please please don't change the method of presenting proper info of the vehicle in future......hats off guys.....and now I will subscribe....
20L and no engine upgrade ...were they expecting people to buy it just for the macho looks and giant wheels!! ....I doubt ..it would beat the stock Thar at offroading and overall experience.
hardcore offroader. Mahindra isnt high/dullard as people are saying. they launched it after doing some research on market. indian offroader market is rising. Motorsports are gaining popularity in India. its specially for those who arent interested in highways. if its of not ur taste that doesn't mean its not useful.
Faisal bhai 😂 when you get in the rear seat it was like watching Charlie Chaplin movie. Good job motor beam. I am a huge fan of this channel and faisal bhai you are wonderful 😃
HI TEAM, FORD is reducing prices as per new news to benefit the customer on GST , so me questions is they r reducing the prices or just giving discount? HOW much benefit will i get on Figo AS dealer was giving me 20-25k discount earlier now will he give the same discount with reduced prices??
Its only good to be used in movies for hero or villains vehicle for it looks, for regular people who love thar, buy regular and modify as per your requirements.Hope Mahindra add some safety features in future Thar model.
This Car Is For Someone Who Has 20 Lakhs + A Practical car in his garage..... wants to stand out in the crowd... don't have time to research and modify a car for himself..... so he goes to Mahindra buy this tank and show off his new ride right from the showroom.
I forgot the custom name of this one and took me almost an hour to get a review of this one. No reviews whatsoever for this one. May be this was the first and last.
Video was awsm ... n I love THAR But 20 Lacs ... u Can Easily Get these Mods in 5 Lacs,,, So dont give a shit to this Daybreak edition and modify your Thar your own way
Wow this guy is just.... Racing seat belts Racing harnesses* Testing an off road vehicle On the same basis as other soft roaders And my favourite was Bouncing nature due to stiff suspension Its an off roader it is supposed to be bouncy because of "softer suspension" Stiff is opposite of bouncy
Cars like these are meant to satisfy the childish obsession in your heart. The brain will always disagree and more than that your wife will throw you out. But this car was never meant to compete Safari or any other cars. It stands alone. It's a daring step taken by Indian company to bring such a car into market. They are promoting Off Road culture and I really appreciate that. They have a basic version of this car which they are already selling it for years. Many people buy SUVs in India but they never take it off road, never switched to 4x4 and most of the times are chauffeur driven. If you wanna buy this car then you might have to tow this car to your desired location and have fun with it. Which is not cheap and we see it very rarely. I would have appreciated if you guys have lauded this car for what it is and not what it isn't.
Thinking about practicality I would never get this thar....but if I had the money to own this as a secondary or additional vehicle I would be the first get one.....cause damn look at that thingggggg
With all due to respect to M&M, surely they are trying to humor potential clients by peddling this abomination, who might have a lower I.Q than the total bhp of its engine.Glad to see a forthright review!
Top speed can't be better than 90 because of those huge 37 inch Trepador tires . They could have at least compensated the large tires by changing the gear ratios ....and for the 20 lakh price tag , it sucks ...!!!!
an off-roader with such a bouncy ride and being so much underpowered doesn't seem to be a value for money at all. but yes indeed the looks is worth of every penny spent on it.
great review..But over dramatic on some places.Getting to the rear is a little hard but not anywhere near impossible.i have seen this vehicle and i think you can climb on to the back side without breaking a sweat.
