I have XUV700 diesel manual.. I got more than 18kmpl on 450 km highway ride... Some details about that highway ride. 1) My top speed on that trip was about 180kmph (just wanted to see how it accelerates. Only once I got the chance to accelerate that hard.).. 2) My average speed on that trip was below 60kmph as all of the route has slow moving truck traffic. 3) I stuck for about 2 hours in bumper to bumper slow moving traffic, covered 30km in that 2 hour. 4) Vehicle is fully loaded with 5 people and their luggage. And most importantly I was not on any Mileage Run. In the city I am constantly getting average between 14 and 15. I am using Tank to to Tank method to calculate the average. My MID generally shows 17kmpl in the city and 24 kmpl on highway... too optimistic..

18kmpl average is amazing. Ultimate car and we should go with AX7L . Great efforts team. Thanks for the video.

True said Rachit and Virat bhai. XUV 7OO has a very big glass area and along with the big Skyroof, it generates considerably more heat than any of its competitors in its segment. This is a DOWNSIDE, Mahindra should've went for heat rejection glass. You have to atleast keep the temperature at 20°C and the fan speed at 3 in order for the 2nd row occupants to feel cool and on a bright sunny day we'll have to further decrease the temp.

If you go again on this route please change your route After Udaipur .. You should take Udaipur - chittorgarh - Bhilwara - jaipur .. 6 lanes till jaipur..

I recently own xuv 700 AX5 DIESEL I have taken it to bhopal to Nainital with full ac on 5 passengers fully loaded I have got 16.2 kmpl It's fabulous i also have crysta 2.4gx but my prefer XUV 700

Amazing!!! A RU-vidr was getting 7 kmpl on the same variant and ended selling it for a Fortuner, stating mileage as one of the reasons. Hope there are no issues with the brakes.

I got my xuv700 AX7L last month drove it around 1500km mostly on hilly area got around 10-11 kmpl but i have a petrol variant, which is what I expected. It could be subjective but mileage should not be concern when you spend 25-30lac on a car because i think buying a car i not that tough but maintaining it is and you cannot expect a 200bhp 2tonne car to be fuel efficient.

Do such trips on Yamuna Expressway or Agra-Lucknow Expressway or Purvanchal Expressway

Thanks for the video! That's darn good average for this vehicle. I'm driving 2013 ML360 BlueTec diesel. Although, it has bigger engine and it gives 22 miles per gallon in city and about 28 miles per gallon in highways. That's 9.36 kilometers per liter in city and 11.91 kilometers per liter on highways. That's a great vehicle in India and should be in USA market.

I have achieved 18.6 km/lt average in my diesel manual from Udaipur to Ahmedabad 250 km. Average speed 76 top speed 138 with 2 person.

I often do Kolkata-guwahati-kolkata on my Tata Harrier manual. The roads in this stretch are not as good as Udaipur. I get an average of 20 Kmpl +, that too tank to tank. MLD shows 21 Kmpl.

We just bought 700 last month and I am under 100kmph driver so 80-100kmph and I get 19-21kmpl easily on a new engine which hasn't done it's 1st service. I always drive on cruise control and manage speed via Cruze control buttons i.e if I see traffic ahead I will not apply brakes late but I will reduce the speed on Cruze control preemptively to not lose momentum and this car dilivers.

I drive XUV 700 Petrol MT, I am getting 9-10 kmpl in city drives and 12-13kmpl on highways

Haven't checked in the highway yet, but my XUV700 AX7 L petrol version is giving me 6-7 kmpl in Bangalore city. I don't know if this is because of Bangalore or because of the car.
