The fact this dude Mahito was already capable of turning his own body into weapons with his technique but still went to random humans just to make swords out of them is diabolical
That's a really good observation bro was capable of modifying his own body to that extent and would have been much stronger if he could turn himself into a perfect weapon and actually honed it but had instead based his technique on transfigurating human beings. His fear and hatred of humans made him dependent on us at the same time and when Sukuna took that away with his domain that weakness showed itself as Yuji and Todo beat his ass until he couldn't keep up anymore because they had brotherhood

Not sure if you already realized but Todo did NOT make Yuji switch. That’s what’s so damn hard about it, he conditioned him into reacting to that clap but it didn’t work due Todo not having his hand. Mahito went to hit where he THOUGHT Yuji would be and left himself wide open. I love when Gege uses legit combat tactics like conditioning and reads to the fights makes the characters seem competent beyond abuse of broken powers
I really wish his clapping didn’t just end with his hands like any sound that would’ve made a clap sound would’ve worked. I really wish it would’ve worked that way.
My favorite part was when they were in the winter and itadori was chasing mahito, itadori with the wolves and mahito with the rabbits showing how itadori is now the predator and mahito is now the prey, honestly im kinda glad Kenjaku absorbed him and took him, a fate worse than death as he most rightly deserved 😅.

He says "Itadori Yuji" in the subbed version. Family name comes first in Japan so he wasn't wrong in writing it that way at all, considering that the story takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo. @@nolan.s-r2t

The one thing Itadori maybe understands about Mahito is that he's a spiritual amalgamation of humanities worst traits. He's petty, selfish, hedonistic, vain, self-destructive, cowardly, completely lacking in empathy/sympathy, and above all see's human's as nothing more than toys. What Yuji is essentially seeing is all of our greatest sins and action's made cursed-spirit flesh. It's very similar to Demon Slayer in that the only reason there are demons in the first place was because we F'd around with alchemy and found out.

Todo didn't make Yuji swap places in the end, it was a fake out. Todo can't do his CT anymore but Mahito didn't know that so he assumed he swapped places and swung at air which allowed Yuji to hit him with the black flash. Todo holds the title for one of the greatest fake out of all time.

Nobara needs "something" of value from "someone", Nanami needs to hit their opponents within the 7:3 Ratio he makes in order for his technique to function, Megumi needs to tame his shikigami before being freely able to use them, Ino needs to cover his face in order to become a medium for the spirits he holds within his technique, The Grandma needed part of Toji in order to call forward the information of his body... and Todo needs to perform the act of "clapping his hands" for said technique to work.

Watching Mahito get swirled towards his ultimate demise, along with the added audio of him pleading for his life before letting out a final shriek of despair as he seizes to exist actually fits this scene really well. The context is a little different though, as in the anime and manga, I’m pretty sure that Mahito attempts to attack Geto if I’m not mistaken, but honestly, it sort of does fit the idea of Geto having waited for Mahito to mess up just so that he can get to punish him, exactly like the voodoo entities from the original Disney movie felt towards Dr. Facilier. Either way, I think this version of that scene does a really good job at showing the desperation such a degenerate like Mahito can feel, because even though he has mindlessly killed thousands if not millions, he is still human in one way, fearing for his own mortality just like the people he had tortured and murdered.
This is a very great point considering Mahito is reverse Itadori, killing mercilessly without thought, to the point where when Jogo died and was speaking to Hanami he refers to death as a mirror that humans fear, and labeled Mahito as that Mirror, he is a true cruse who’s soul existence is to cause Conflict and makes a very strong example of a “Villain” to me I’m assuming others

One thing thats worth considering with the mass murder, is that it says gojo killed "over one thousand transfigured humans" which means Mahito killed AT LEAST 1 THOUSAND PEOPLE
Ngl Gojo should get his own air force ranking. Despite being in the Shibuya arc for only one or two episodes, he disrespected Hanami twice, fodderized Jogo, and took out 1000 transfigured humans while using his domain which basically traumatized everyone so badly that they couldn't move

Mahito has always been my favorite character and always will be, from his character to the voice acting, he is one of the best characters ive seen in an anime (personally) they did so good with this man and any type of content about him makes me kick my feet and giggle while going :3
Mahito is such a menace that he makes Yuji’s eventual get back and growth all the more sweeter. He is the embodiment of the predator winding up as the prey.

Shibuya is the arc that cemented Mahito and Yuji as my two favorite characters in JJK. Yuji turning the tables at the end was such a cold scene to watch in animated form.
This guy took down not one but two of the main cast during the shibuya incident, now they did make it unclear if Nobara would survive or not, but still f**king damn Mahito. The dude managed to make Itadori, who's usually a chill guy who's very positive, into a person with zero chill, Itadori went absolutely cold at the end of the fight. Was like "I'll just kill you, and if you ever get reborn I'll kill you again", I'm over here like, you really f**ked up now didn't you Mahito.
Fun fact: Mahito was born from the fear of humanity. You gotta remember curses in this show are born out of fear. Jogo is from fear of earth, Diagon is fear of the ocean and Hanami is fear of nature.
Also remember that in the JJK universe Japan is the main country that has cursed energy so it is specifically Japanese citizens fears. Jogo, Dagon, and Hanami represent Volcanos, Tsunamis, and Earthquakes. Aka, common Japanese natural disasters.
Mahito is a scary bastard but also not bad looking in a rat kind of way. RIP my main man Nanami though; hit the beach in heaven. The use of Last Surprise and Facilier's death had me on the GROUND!! CJ's editing remains unrivaled.
